He is Algerian Saharan Sufi from his father’s side and Celt from his mother’s. This double cultural aspect is the foundation of the originality of his music. His roots are Electric World, Soul, Groove, House, Dance and above all Raï. On stage, all these mixtures are transformed into Trance, as Malik is before all else a Master of Ceremonies.
