The goldbrickers have been described as a young and soulful, California country band. Inspired by folk, bluegrass, early rock n' roll, blues and r&b, the goldbrickers pay homage to American roots music while simultaneously offering some lyrical twists and positive energy, a fresh "country & west coast" sound. Lead singer/songwriter Nicole Summerwood writes about land, space, love and relationships in a heartbreakingly honest way while adding a dimension of transformation, spirituality and fun that keep spirits high. Guitarist Bob Daspit with his energetic, often dazzling playing, summons the spirit of bluegrass to his more contemporary and unique guitar stylings. The term goldbricker, with its origins in the goldmine days of California points to the simple fact that they would always rather play music than work at their day jobs.
