Atlanta, November 16, 2005 The modern age of the college magazine officially began with the release of the A.U.C. MIX DVD Magazine courtesy of 1st A.V.E. Productions. The A.U.C. MIX DVD Magazine (All Universities & Colleges) is an entertaining and refreshing fusion of a traditional mixed tape and magazine with the entertainment value of urban television shows such as BETs 106 & Park (which has in recent years surpassed MTVs TRL in ratings), while adding a creative, irreverent attitude to the mix. The A.U.C. MIX DVD promotes Hip Hop, H.B.C.U.s and college education in general. There are 117 Historically Black Colleges and Universities in America and The AUC MIX-DVD will seek in each volume to creatively profile, capture and celebrate each of the colleges unique character by combining two of the most effective media outlets to form a hybrid between a Mix tape and magazine. This 90 minute DVD is filled with exclusive student & alumni profiles, interviews (Student & Famous Alumni), articles, songs, videos and performances from students & top names in Hip-Hop and R&B.
The 1st A.U.C. MIX DVD makes noise on the college scene and within the Hip Hop community with the release of its 1st volume highlighting the Atlanta University Center, the largest consortium of African American students in the nation located in Hotlanta. The 1st issue features an Exclusive Video of Jay-zs December 4th from the monumental black album featuring Beyonce. If thats not enough, 8 Ball, MJG and Lloyd perform their hit Forever. Other features live performances of Kanye West, Roy Jones Jr. & Body Headbangers and the YoungBloodz. Behind the scenes footage with Nas and Quan provide insight into the vision behind Director Ben Mors Video. Other featured artists include Scrappy and Dipset during their appearances within the Atlanta University Center.
