Dawud Muhammad (April 9, 1981), also known as Wue, is the President and CEO of HoodSmart L.L.C. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Wue was always an advocate for success. He is the oldest child of 5 with 2 brothers and 2 sisters. After completing high school in New Jersey, Wue made a decision to pack up and move to Atlanta, GA, where he enrolled and attended Morehouse College. Wue majored in business with a concentration in marketing. After graduating from college, he decided to utilize his degree to market HoodSmart L.L.C.. Although he has a full-time employment and his immediate family to support, Wue has never lost sight of his main focus."My main focus and mission is the resurrection of black people."Being an active Muslim in The Nation of Islam has molded and shaped the mind set that Wue posseses today. He is heavely influenced by the teachings of The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught by the Honorable Louis Farrakhan. Every aspect of his life, as well as the decisions that he makes are influenced by these teachings.HoodSmart L.L.C was derived about 8 months ago. Wue came up with the culture while laying down a track for a new beat he was listening to. Shortly following that night, HoodSmart became an official company and, furthermore, plans to become a nationwide household name. Wue expressed that his goal is "to make HoodSmart a brand name and to be able to build up the black communities through promoting proper education that is going to encourage black people to do for themselves and successfully engage in entreprenuership. "I want HoodSmart to wake us all up and make us more conscience and aware of the times we are living in and to motivate black people and all people of color to unite and succeed in life. I want HoodSmart to touch the hearts, minds, and souls of our children and future generations because they are the leaders of tomorrow and I want them to see that there are other options and better paths to success other than selling drugs, robbing, stealing, and cheating."One of his most important lifetime goals is to build a HoodSmart city that is like a modern day Black Wallstreet resembling all the successes of Black Wallstreet.Some of his biggest influences in music are Tupac,
Jay-Z, Biggie, Nas, Andre 3000, Common, and Kanye West. He had the opportunity of opening up for acts such as Dead Prez, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Trey Songs, Sharifa, and Lyfe Jennings. In his leisure time Wue likes to play basketball, write, perform, listen to speaches of the Honorable Louis Farrakhan, and listen to and study music. He is a firm believer in the importance of family and does his utmost best to maintain a strong relationship with his family.
