Uni-Verse is one of the most excitingly original singer/songwriters to emerge from London since the likes of Omar, Mica, and Sade. Unlike most typical aspiring young singers, Uni-Verse draws much of her influence from past time greats such as Billy Holiday, Mahalia Jackson, and Ella Fitzgerald, whilst still maintaining her own signature style. Her unique and spontaneous song writing ability is second to none, whether she picks up a pen to physically write a song, or if she improvises (free-styles) a song (as demonstrated on the song rice and peas). Listening to Uni-Verse on CD is one thing, but seeing her perform her material live is an experience no one should go without. Her stage presence captivates and draws you into her world with intimate audience interaction and impromptu revisions of her songs.In the short time that Uni-Verse has been working with FirstLove Musik, she has gained the attention of a large audience and potential fan base from performing the tracks Cup of Tea, Rice n Peas, and more on the London circuit. Venues and events she has performed at include, Jazz Caf, Earls Court (U.M.F), Brixton Academy, Soul Food, Kindred Spirit, etc. She also supported Floetry at their London tour date.Comfortable within her home at FirstLove Musik, Unis plans are to complete her pending album whilst continually performing and promoting her material.
