In June 2002, in Top Secret Studio, Arce lane, Brixton an artist by the name of Vybez Kartel recorded a dub entitled 'Ring Dong, Ding Dong', This was the start of Marshalleck Movements.Marshalleck Movements is more than just a sound, it’s a dream. In fact its more than just a dream, is an example of how one family can come together and put something positive into our community. From the older generation of Marshallecks with sounds like Governor Sound, Sir Nation, Omegas and Well Charge to the younger generation with Blackhawk, Lazer Force and now Marshalleck Movements.In 1993 my brother for life (Bucky-Jo) gave me my first sound tape (pushed through the church van window) Black Kat vs. Inner city......BIG CLASH!!!
3 years later I joined the newly formed sound Blackhawk, with Partnership Bucky-jo and Sky juice. Under the guidance of Bucky-jo I was able to develop my gift as a selector. We had the Whole of South London LOCKED!!!! House parties, dances, BBQ's, you name it, we locked it!!! 6 years of my life I gave to Blackhawk and I am proud to be a part of what the sound is today.Wanting more from the business I teamed up with cousins Slimz and Blue to make something happen. The first time we played out was in Holloway Road, North London, at our OWN event 'STOMPY'. We built our own fan base and did wait for anyone to 'bring us in'. Linking up with KISS DA KASH for north London we held some road blockers, the first being Plush @ Q BAR (west end).Playing music and entertaining the ravers has always been a joy and if you come from behind the set sweat dripping and everybody still dancing, job well done. Playing in clubs like Illusions, Ministry of Sound, Meantime Lounge, Loop, Q Bar, yacht Club and areas like Bedford, Stevenage and Hitchin. Marshalleck Movements has been able to reach a mixed balance of ravers.Now is the new thing, Marshalleck Movements CD's!!!!!! What a hype, Like WOW! Africa is going crazy for them. 'MORE THAN JUST HYPE 1+2, BULLETT BROTHERS, OVER HYPE, Dem sell off!!!!!! If you've got one you know what I mean. Big up Blue and Slimz on this one, Ah you lock da world!!!!!! When I drop 'BACK TO THE DANCEHALL', next classic.Looking forward to working with alot more of you in the years to come.
