About Me

I am the heavy hitting drummer in the Toronto based band SLOW NEWS DAY. Right now, I play a Stewart 5 piece drumkit (that I have re-wrapped to a red satin flame) with a Pearl "Joey Jordison" signature snare drum, Sabian AA/AAX cymbals and Pro*Mark 2BLN sticks. I prefer to read autobiographies and non-fiction such as: "Voltaire's Bastards" by John Ralston Saul, "No logo" by Naomi Klein, "The long hard road out of hell" by MM, "The origin of the species" by Charles Darwin, "Lords of Chaos" by Moynihan and Soderlind, "Praying to the Aliens" by Gary Numan, "Helter Skelter" by Vincent Bugliosi and "How to disappear completely and never be found" by Doug Richmond. With fiction, I have a hard time getting past the point that someone has just made all this crap up at his/her computer. That being said I have actually enjoyed the following stories: "The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath, "Walpurgis III" by Mike Resnick, "Catcher in the Rye" by JD Salinger, "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" by Hunter S. Thompson and anything by H.P. Lovecraft or William S. Blake.

I know the usual response to that stupid questions is "Not Much", but I wonder if we cheaply use it because we aren't really sure that the inquiring person actually cares or if maybe somehow we don't ...
