(A).P.P.L.(E). re-banded in March 2006 due to hearing our cover version of "Blowing In The Wind" being played every Friday on Jerry Springer's now defunct Air America radio show. Jae Monroe called in the show and was put on the air with Jerry who asked Jae if A.P.P.L.E. would be willing to start playing again and so we did! We played our first reunion show on September 14, 2006. The next week we played our 2nd reunion show at CBGB's on the 23rd. Both gigs were packed and the response we received was tremendous.
A.P.P.L.E. originally formed in the fall of 1984. We were heavily inspired by the UK peace punk movement and are probably NYC's first ever peace punk band. We released our first demo cassette tape in 1985 which was recorded live off the soundboard from the rehearsal studio. We played various clubs but mostly benefit shows for the causes we believed in. We released our 2nd demo, "Neither Victims Nor Executioners" recorded in an 8 track studio in 1986. We recorded our first 7 inch vinyl Ep, "A Sensitive Fascist Is Very Rare" in 1987 and it sold over 4500 copies right out of the gate!
We recorded our "Plutocracy" Lp which was released in November 1988. It was at this time that we finally decided to call it quits for awhile due to artistic differences.
In the mid '90's our vinyl recordings and cassettes were pressed onto CD and opened up a whole new audience for us. In 1994 Jae met Chuck. Pretty much ever since they met they've toyed with the idea of resurrecting (A).P.P.L.(E). Chuck loved the music & message and so we tried a few times in the last 5 years but could never seem to find the right people. It took hearing ourselves on the radio (which blew our minds actually) to get us back in action.

We are very excited to be playing live again and will record new material in 2008.
