Our motto is "The Soul of Drum N Bass."Magnetic Soul was founded by Cookie, founder of I Love Jungle (ilovejungle.co.uk) in late spring of 2005 upon arriving in Hong Kong and meeting local talented DJs Kay C, JP Lui, and their close friends Ah Fai, Foxy, and Katie Luk - who were looking for an outlet to perpetuate Drum N Bass in Hong Kong.This quickly evolved into a dynamic a group of avid Drum and Bass fans with diverse professional backgrounds. Comprising of resident DJs and Public Relations professionals, the group has made a big impact on Hong Kong and made a name for themselves. Utilizing their unique talents, they have become one of the major music promoters / event organizers in Hong Kong today. With capacity crowds, good music and impressive bar sales, Magnetic Soul receives full support from clubs, media and advertising outlets.In 2005, Magnetic Soul organized more than 15 Drum and Bass events throughout Hong Kong, brought an A-list International DJ, brought Drum N Bass to venues that had never had Drum N Bass played on their decks, established a few residencies, held a charity event, and added several crew members. All these accomplishments in only 7 months.How does a group like this achieve so much in less than a year? The group is motivated only by the love of the music. Their skill sets are evenly applied for the greater of the group whether it be graphic design, PR and media relations, web development, experience in the record industry, experience in music distribution, creative design, sound engineering, experience with booking agencies, negotiating with club owners and managers, or good old fashioned hand to hand flyering.Although, Magnetic Soul had minor changes in their lineup since it's inception, the core group has always been the focal point.In 2006 we streamlined our efforts and it's proved to be a solid year solid year for Magnetic Soul. We've organized over 30 events at various locations, hosted the DNB Mag Asia Release Tour and a host of International Drum N Bass talent including Nu:Tone, A-sides, SUV with percusionist Ricky, Sonic, TC1 & Stress Level, Lenzman and MC Dan Stezo.We also hosted top regional talent and other special guests which includes: DJ Low (Loops Collective, Malaysia), DJ Vortex (Exitmusik, Singapore), DJ Kain (Ohm Resistance, New York City), DJ Yomi (Tone Def Records, London), DJ Sinycal (Los Angeles), DJ Mael (Chengdu, China), PC Laboratory (Bangkok, Thailand), Zul (Singapore, Subvert).We've also done our part to help the community by organizing 3 charity events raising money for earthquake victims in both Kashmir and Java.2006 was a great year for Drum N Bass in Hong Kong. 2007 Will be even better.
