U can take The Drifta out of Brixton, but U can't take Brixton out of The Drifta...

About Me

Drift's pedigree goes way back to 1992, and the birth of Drum n' Bass in the UK.He held long-term residencies at many clubs in the Midlands and London, working alongside world-renowned DJs such as Randall, Zinc, and Jumping Jack Frost.Drift also appeared weekly on pirate radio (Mix FM), and internet radio (UK Rumble), and before he left London, was working closely with Luke Envoy, now an internationally recognized Dubstep producer. The pair were unstoppable, creating a huge buzz in the underground, and their trademark style packed out dancefloors around their native South London.Leaving home, Drift arrived in Indonesia in 2003. Since then, he has hosted a monthly Drum n' Bass night at Double Six in Bali, and performed at the Two Tribes Festival in 2005. He has become a key player in the Javabass Soundsystem in Jakarta, and in 2006, was selected to support the Johnnie Walker Fastrack tour. This saw him broadening his scope, and working with House and Electro DJs for the first time.At the end of 2006, Drift finally got the recognition he deserved, and was nominated for Best MC in the Paranoia (O Channel / Hard Rock FM) Awards. Now a seasoned veteran at 34 years of age, Drift still hasn't slowed his pace, and knows how to work a crowd like very few others. You can expect to see collaborations to get his lyrics on vinyl in the very near future.http://www.beatmag.com/130/artc_mcdrift.htm
