Mr Jam now lives in the Netherlands in "general" peace and tranquility. Mc'ing for as long as he can remember music has allways provided him with something to focus on.
Started playing round on a mic in dougies bedroom in the early nineties in a small village called greenside initially listening to the worst happy hardcore you can imagine! across the street lived a geeza called welshy who let me hear my first ever drum and bass track, soon realised the s*it was rockin down south and so the mix tape time was started. In those days the north east of England was plagued by cheesy shit happy hardcore twat music so what choice did i have than to venture in to the wilderness of scotland and check out nosebleed with the Geordie Gabber Mafia.and Gibby.Mark N being the sickest thing i had ever seen or heard up till that point.(apart from Gibby)
A few chemicals/car crashes/years went by or something like that and i found myself at Newcastle college student union just chillin as Milk the Cow (1997-98)
was being conceived by Don (Armaged:DON aka Mc Chicken DaDa) in a top
local club (rockshots(for local people.) Don used his influence as union president to organize some wicked drum and bass nights culminating with visits from mickey finn and dj SS .
Big up to Gary Kelly, and Don who had great patience and gave me my first residency and put up with what i can only imagine was really crap mc'ing and
crazy party antics those were the days must have been top cos i dont remember much!
Sammy D got me on a mic to a hip hop beat for the first time , and the writing of lyrics entered my life.
Moved to holland in march 2001. Started a crew with Junglefever and Shapeshifter (070D&B) in the paard op hol we had a monthly gig for a year and then moved to a new club-Jetlag, both are now closed (nowt to do with us)-organizing things does my nut! so now just bookings.... recently been to Poland and Belgium as well as playing with a Dutch drum and Bass PA called SUWU3 (check suwu3.com)
