I was once a debutante . Ten years later, I'm wife to Brian , an aspiring comic book artist and bonafide video/PC game addict, and mommy to three cats ( Felix, Oscar and Jesus ), three sugargliders ( Ginger, Star and Rockie ) and Molly, our Yorkiepoo .

I'm an avid blogger (yes, I mean this; I've been blogging or keeping an online diary of some form or another for most of my natural life and journalling on paper since I learned how to write) and apiring professional poker player (been playing poker for almost five years and I'm getting pretty good at it) whose current project is world domination. That's Ching, in a nutshell.

About the Alonso Family:

For a family related to the Philippine national hero Jose Rizal (through his mother Teodora Alonso) , the family is pretty wacky. We have often joked about broadcasting our very own reality show. We are like the FOB-y version of "The Osbornes" - LOL! Kidding aside, members of the Alonso family are actually highly regarded in Tanjay. Here in the US, however, life is different for us...

Jen is a single mom who is often mistaken for a teenager. Her son Logan is the smartest kid I know. Everyone says he takes after me! =P
Dad has an electrical engineering degree from St. Louis University in Baguio but he currently works as a software engineer (smart career move back in the 80s because it helped us to immigrate to the US). Even though he's afraid of reptiles (snakes and toads in particular) he is still my idol.
Mom is semi-retired and is a realtor. I say semi-retired because she hasn't worked full-time since we moved to the US (her smart career move is encouraging dad to look for jobs abroad). She holds degree in Commerce and Business Administration from Silliman University in Dumaguete City and worked as a successful merchandiser in the Philippines.
As for me.. Well, everyone already knows about me because I'm all over the internet. :) Some of the domains I've owned include Chingay.com (1997-2000), Chingay.net (2001-2002), Goldensushi.net (2002-2005), Virtualdumpster.com (2002-2006), Cuteco uple.us (2002-2006) and Brubakers.us to name a few. Prior to that I used free web space from my ISP, Xoom, Angelfire, Geocities (some of these are gone now) and pretty much wherever I could get free space.

P.S. I'm freelancing right now, so if you need cheap web work done I'm your woman! I will code HTML for food. If you want PHP, ASP, PERL, CGI, JavaScript or pretty much anything that requires some thinking then that will cost you extra. LOL!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to get re-acquainted with old friends and make new ones. Brian and I are attached at the hip so we are looking for other couples to hang out and do other fun stuff with. We'd probably get along well with movie buffs, people who like to go out to dinner and dancing and who like to video games and board games. We also like to play racquetball (ok, maybe just me mostly) and poker. Animal lovers are a plus.
