Asian Connection [www.asnconnection.com]
Introduction In the year of 1999 there was a surge of popularity among the entertainment field, presumably because of the coming of a new millennium. The attendance of movie theaters, club events, car shows, private parties, and other social functions have reached unexpected numbers and created new trends in style and pleasure. Among the forces that are affecting this shift in hype is the Asian-American Community. Considered a minority and once overlooked by the market, the Asian-American community in the past years has not only demonstrated the highest purchasing power potential and the highest percentage in college degrees, but the highest capacity to take advantages of the latest technological advances: 64% of Asian households access the Internet. With the power of the Internet to infinity, providing greater financial opportunities, reaching and connecting more people globally and generating more common interests among people of all ethnicities, a new door of opportunity has now opened.Establishment Asian Connection was established in the summer of 1999 under a partnership of two entrepreneurs and small investors with common visions. Headquartered in Irvine, California, the location is a central network for all California affiliates and future affiliates nationwide. Started from the ground up, blueprints were drawn and ideas were brainstormed before acquiring a website for operation. By studying the compositions of successful corporations, we have focused our attentions not on quantitative qualities but the qualitative: organization combined with careful planning is our key. Highly structured in the development process, our first year is to gather interactive marketing data to determine the directions that the company will follow. This marketing strategy gives us the efficiency to provide the Community with desirable resources and information in areas of interests, rather than with unnecessary and useless reports. Objectives At Asian Connection, there are three main objectives: Our third objective is to build a bridge between the Asian-American Community and other ethnicities by finding common interests among targeted age groups. Our secondary objective is to become a pan-Asian global community by providing resources and information on current events in business and entertainment to help the Asian community staying connected to the world. The main objective of our company is to unite, to serve, and to empower Asian Americans in the rapidly changing Information Superhighway. Our new Group Profile : http://groups.myspace.com/asianconnection
