My wife and I are amateur dancesport competitors and we want to share our passion for this incredible sport, hobby and community with everyone. We dance in and around the San Francisco area and are actively involved in the ballroom dance community there.

We started the blog to give beginners unfiltered and unbiased information so they can make informed decisions about teachers, schools, lessons, equipment, competitions, etc. We made just about every mistake you could make so we want to help you avoid the same hazards. Moreover, this blog is a great resource of dance technique, culture and community so we hope you enjoy it.
