Good evening to you all and welcome to my show that is Aarondo the mutha fuckin great!
Well here I am back on the sunny shores of England after yet another mental, mad 5 months on the white isle that is Ibiza. People say that their first year working on the island is always the best, well I disagree. This has been my 2nd season on the island now and it has by far been the better of the seasons. My aim for this Ibiza season was to go there and have as much fun as possible and that is what I defiantly did. I also worked my 2nd season as a monster for Judge Jules’ night Judgement Sundays, which I fuckin love working for, that’s if you can call it work. Ha ha. Whilst partying hard I also managed to make some amazing, wicked mates along the way who Ill remain mates with for a long, long time!
As those of you who know me will know, I’m the most happiest when I’m off my fuckin head and got a bottle of the old rose (winter) or San Miguel (summer) in my hand. I've found that over the last few years getting off my head is something that I do with a great passion and find it very easy to get involved with. In fact Id say its definatly one of my fortes in life. In the summer of 2006 I decided to take myself to the island of headonism - Ibiza. After planning this venture for little less than a week, I thought it was time to fuck off the old 9-5, pack my suitcase and go get wrecked. Ibiza gave me a new way of life and made me realise that life is for living. Not only did it bring me some of the best parties and nights on planet earth but also put me in touch with my best friend, side-kick and mentor, the wonderful Miss Joe from Burnley. Although peeps we have actually all been part of a big conspiracy theory from the Burnley one, as it turns out she’s not even from Burnley but in fact she’s from Nelson (which is near Burnley). haha .
I was born in Leeds and am very proud that Leeds has become one of the clubbing capitals of not just the north of England but in fact the UK. This is where you'll often find me having it right off!!! Usually starting on a Friday night & finishing off on a Monday morning, where I usually have to phone in work and make some bullshit up about why I’m not coming in today. Don’t get me wrong I do love the club nights that I go to, but for me I’m definatly an after party kinda kid! I love all the banter, the randomness, the randomers, the fucked up conversations and most of all the friends I meet along the way. I’ve definatly got a great set of friends who I fuckin adore, they bring me some of the best laughs I’ve ever had in my life and they make me laugh from the time I meet up with them to the time that I have to go. You guys know who you are. Most of them you can find in my top friends. so get involved and get to know ‘em ‘cos they’re all weird and wonderful in their own crazy way, and life would definatly not be the same without them lot. They’re what I live for! And my song "The Lighthouse" was written for all you guys, for bringing me so many good times.
My passion in life is music, music and music! and thats why in 2005 I decided to start producing my own tracks under the guise of AMDL Project (you can read more about the project below). In the same year I set-up Freek Records with Mr Dirty Freek, another one of my good mates, who puts up with all my random phone calls to him over the duration of my crazy weekends. I write songs that I wanna write, I aren’t bothered about if they’re perceived as cool or not. I write & produce ‘em so that I’m happy with them. Gettin them signed is not the main reason or priority for me making music. The reason for me making music is for the love of it and the adrenaline I get when i first hit up on something that Im happy with. If I can make anyone else smile or dance from hearing my music, then for me, it is a job well done!! The music that I write bares little resemblance to the music I actually listen to. Im a huge fan of lots of different types of dance music. The music Im likin' as of late is anything experimental, that embraces the new technology of music production. As of late I’ve been writing about subjects that are quite personal to me and I’m more than happy with the end results. The songs that I write are quite melodic and I use this as an outlet to express myself. I’m also gonna start to take the project in a different direction soon, so watch this space!! I’m also part of the best entertainments agency on planet earth. The mighty MinxFX!!! I love being part of the team as it’s all about personality; if you ain’t got one then you’re not joining in. I love getting’ dressed up in fancy dress, getting on stage & most of all getting on it BIG TIME! But by far the best thing about the MinxFX is the adorable team of eclectic, random personalities that make it what it is!

The AMDL project formed in 2002 after meeting at a local nightclub in their hometown of Leeds. After Dj-ing at various different nights around the city they decided to start running their own nights. It wasn't until 2005 that the project started working on material for their first album.
Since then they have been busy working in the studio to perfect their sound. Drawing inspiration from the punk and disco era, they take these sounds and incorporate them with the more modern sounds of electro and tech house.
Their first release, the straight to the balls, bass driven "Dirty Filthy Eyes" was instantly signed to T-Freq Digital (a subsidiary of Twisted Frequency Recordings) and was remixed by the deepgroove boys, Janike & Langer and Mohawk (from Openair).
In 2006 other productions from the project gained support from the awesome Soul Avengerz and was played by Judge Jules on his Saturday night radio 1 show. In the summer of the same year the guys moved out to Ibiza for the season to work on more material for their album. One of the tracks produced on the island was the amazing "Electro Sunrise", with its pumping bass line and Blondie style vocals, it brings a new dimension to the project's sound whilst still remaining true to their electro routes.
On their return to the UK "Electro Sunrise" was signed to Freek records and is due out in March with remix duties being held by the wicked producer Jamie Fisher!.
Early 2007 saw the departure of founder vocalist Anne Marie Duperouzel, she is now working on other solo projects. Anne Marie brought a lot to the projects sound with her amazing vocal performances and ideas. The project would like to wish Anne Marie every success for the future.
After being inspired by the Ibiza boat party "Shipwrecked", the project decided to pen a track for it entitled "The Lighthouse". When MarcoLoco (shipwrecked resident DJ) heard it he liked it so much that he agreed to do a remix of it. Remix duties have also been completed by filth boys "Caine N' Anians" and the amazing "Charlie Fanclub".
April 2007 brought the project’s first collaboration to light. Teaming up with Dirty Freek and new vocalist Kim. They have ripped up the perfecto classic "Grace - Its Not Over". The guys together have created a haunting breakdown, which bares little resemblance to the filthy, bleepy drop.
