Come August 9th, The Sword will be performing on the "Texas" stage at Ozzfest 2008 in Dallas, Texas. Also on the bill: heavyweights Metallica, Solient Green, Sevendust,Witchcraft, and of course, Ozzy himself.

Sword Announce New May Dates!
The month of May is one of the best of the year, and the one coming up just got a whole lot better with the announcement of a new leg of The Sword's Gods of the Earth tour. This will be after their west-coast jaunt with Children (woo hoo) and Slough Feg. This round of dates kick of May 9th in the lovely city of Ft. Worth in the great state of Texas and wrap up back in the band's home state with a May 29th Houston show.

Pretty much our favorite people to ever call Portland home, Danava marches their aural assault across the country until April 8th with Acid Mothers Temple. We just saw 'em this week at Mercury Lounge in New York and can confirm that, yep, Danava has still got it and ten times more this round.

Get your hands on these gorgeous gems before they're gone! The Sword have already sold out of our Web store, but you can still find the 10"s in fine indie music stores. The 10" features Geoff Kern artwork and lead single "Fire Lances of the Ancient Hyperzephyrians" off Gods of the Earth (out 4/1), as well as non-album track "Codex Corvidae". The rocking Children 12" has the epic 10:43 long "Death Tribe" to get you going and a pretty sweet etching on the B-side!
SWORD SLAY EUROPE, COME BACK TO U.S. IN SUPPORT OF "GODS OF THE EARTH"
Excepting a lone date February 28th at the Clearchannel Metroplex Event Center in Little Rock, AR, the U.S shores won't see The Sword until early April, back from their whirlwind tour with Saviours and Black Cobra in the UK. U.S. April dates, with Children and Slough Feg also on the bill, can be found here
Oh, and they're capping it off with a little festival in Manchester, Tennessee you may have heard of called Bonnaroo. Tickets go on sale this Saturday for the June 12 - 15 event.
