In his first encounter with Hip Hop Culture he immediateley comprehended its worths but also acknowledged that this general understanding wasn’t enough for him. The discovery and consequent study of Hip Hop’s roots became the so-called "next step" towards a more "in depth" knowledge. Since those days of the 90’s, terms such as "Knowledge", "Reality" and "Style" combined with the concept of B-Boy Culture began to assume a fundamental role for his growth. The first inspiration came from different sources (the little that could be found in italy at the time) but mainly a mixture of documentaries and films such as Wild Style (from Charlie Ahearn), Beat Sreet (from Stan Lathan) ,Graffiti Rock (from Clark Santee), Style Wars (from Tony Silver & Henry Chalfant) and Krush Groove (from Michael Schultz). Those fragmented images linked with raw breaks opened his mind towards some of Hip Hop’s historical pioneers from Grandmaster Caz & The Cold Crush Brothers, to Kool Herc,Africa Bambaataa & The Soul Sonic Force,Spoonie G,GrandMaster Flash, Busy Bee,Frostie Freeze, Ken & Doze,Rock Steady Crew,New York City Breakers,Lady Pink,Grand Wizard Theodore,Phase 2,Prince Whipper Whip,Dondi. This was just the beginning of a journey of ruthless research. The tight connection between B-Boying and music eventually brought him towards the art of digging in the crates in search of original funk, soul, jazz-fusion, rock, soundtrack etc...including the "breaks" on which the original b-boys had created their legendary footworks, freezes and top rock in break-dance. Since then, and still now, FatFatCorfunk has undertaken a serious path as a Dj, searching for original records whether funk, soul etc...or both Old and New School Hip Hop (search that continues today with constant updates) and soon this pursuit was combined with the study of basic dj techniques such as cutting and scratching (baby scratch, transformer, chirp, crab...). Fundamental and tutorial to this "course" were the exploits of big djs like Grandmixer DST, Grandmaster Flash,Kool Herc,Jazzy Jeff,Cash Money,Q-Bert & the Invisibile Scratch Picklz,Roc Raida & the X-Ecutioners, the Beat Junkies and many others. The next step of joining beatmaking and Djing was automatic and linked up with his extensive work of diggin for original vinyls. From that moment onwards his main goal and purpose in creating beats has been to unite technique and style with the cultural aspect that is present in each of FatFatCorfunk’s productions. Again much inspiration derived from a list of beatmakers such as Jazzy Jay,dj Marley Marl,Easy Moe Bee,Diamond D,Lord Finesse,Showbiz, etc.; a list that is day by day continuously updated allowing him to maintain a certain spirit but yet evolving the technical / stylistical aspect. Soon the internal obligation of expressing his profound respect towards Hip Hop Culture and its values led him to an ulterior step, the next stylistic, realistic and cultural test: Mcing, in other words that discipline which let and is still letting him express in a raw and real way every part of his reality. The first serious lessons concerning rap came from listening to masters like Melle Mel,Spoonie G,Just-ice,Rakim,Kool G Rap & DJ Polo,Big Daddy Kane,Krs One,Biz Markie,Slick Rick,NWA and many others of the 80’s school...lessons that continued with big artists such as A Tribe Called Quest,De La Soul,Nasty Nas,Gangstarr foundation,EPMD,Lord Finesse,Big L,Black Moon... lessons that are still continuing today with the upcoming talents that are bringing new input and new levels to catch up to. And this last point is the main point of his concept journey of "roots knowledge" alongside steady updating and evolution. THAT’S REAL !!!!!!!FatFatCorfunk aka TheGoldenChildFrustrated aka TheTrueSchoolBoyDJ NESSINFAMOUS (Dj, Beatmaker) BIOGRAPHY (English Version)David, known as Dj NessInfamous was born in Sant’Angelo Lodigiano (Lodi) in 1984. He first met Hip Hop Culture at the age of 14 through the discipline of Graffiti Writing. Soon he understood that his real path was another: he received from his father the passion for Djing and started to use 2 Sony turntables and a Karma mixer for mixing his first records. The curiosity concerning this discipline led him towards a long journey of intensive study of overseas Pioneer DJs: a fundamental moment. With time and many difficulties he was able to find material and information and was even more impressed when he found out the different techniques of mixing (and more), used by the Pioneer Djs of Hip Hop Culture during their Dj Sets and within their mixtapes. Unforgettable the moment when he discovered cutting from Grandmaster Flash, the routines of Grandmixer DST, the incredible invention of the "scratch" by Grand Wizard Theodore, the Dj Sets of Kool Herc, the routines of Cash Money the innovations of Jazzy Jeff...at the same time, djs such as Kid Capri and Funkmaster Flex, through their performances and music led him to dedicate more time to this discipline. He began with lots of curiosity to produce his first underground mixtapes without the possibility of double recording... the records in his collection started to increase as did his passion for Hip Hop Culture. Soon he understood that the role of the Dj is not destined to remain in the shadow: through the art of "turntablism", the Dj is going to become an important figure, like a real musician. Studying masters as Q-bert, Mixmaster Mike, Roc Raider and the X-Ecutioners, the Beatjunkies, et, he started a neverending journey. After finding the appropriate equipment he started going beyond the general passion for Djing (and the production of serious mixtapes) towards the passion of turntablism and beatmaking: he started to undertake these 3 directions simultaneously and is still following them with dedication. After years of practicing, Ness has learnt the fundamental techniques of scratching and juggling but at the same time has understood the importance of an appropriate study of the "Classic Breaks": hits like "Funky President" by James Brown, "Humpty Dump" by The Vibrettes, "Melting Pot" by Booker T & the MG’s,"Zimba Ku" by Black Heat, "Rock Creek Park" by the BlackBirds, "Take me to the Mardi Gras" by Bob James,"The Assembly line" by the Commodores, "Out on the street again" by Etta James etc...impressed him. He understood that to elevate the stylistic level it was necessary to first undertake a precise research and promote strong respect for Hip Hop roots. He started collecting and researching original funk / soul / jazz vinyl records accompanied by the intensive study of the so-called "Classics" within the Hip Hop Culture. Therefore, beyond the 2 roles of mixtape/selecter Dj and Turntablist Dj, he entered the huge area of Producer Dj: here again there is a study of producers from both the Old and New School of Hip Hop: from Marley Marl, Diamond D, Lord Finesse, Showbiz, Easy Moe Bee, Dj Premier, Pete Rock, RZA, Da Beatminerz, Erick Sermon, Dr. Dre, Beatnuts, until the more new Alchemist, Ayatollah, Jay Dilla (RIP), Madlib, Just Blaze ecc... The study of the classics in every area is important but also the steady updating is not to be ignored: these are the two main points on which Dj NessInfamous is basing his art: updating but Keepin’ it classic, maintaining the original Flavour !Dj NessInfamous aka NESS (Natural Expression Strictly Scrupulous)FATFATCORFUNK (Mc, Beatmaker, Dj) BIOGRAPHY (Italian Version)Alessandro Belladelli in arte FatFatCorfunk nasce a San Giovanni in Persiceto (Bologna) il 2 Ottobre 1979. . FatFatCorfunk aka TheGoldenChildFrustrated aka TheTrueSchoolBoyDJ NESSINFAMOUS (Dj, Beatmaker) BIOGRAPHY (Italian Version)David, in arte DJ NessInfamous nasce a Sant’Angelo Lodigiano (Lodi) nel 1984. Update it but Keep it classic, maintaining the original Flavour ! Dj NessInfamous aka NESS (Natural Expression Strictly Scrupulous)
