Born and raised in Lynwood,California, I grew up watching television. I've been playing the piano for over 15 years. I started playing by ear. Yes, I will admit! Perfect Pitch allows a musician 2 play some music on the spot. It also enhances the capabilities of matching pitches one would hear on to his or her instrument. Most of my peers consider me as a musician with t.v. jingles because I'm always playing t.v. themes. 1977 as you, the reader figured out, was the year I was born and I didn't began playing piano untill Christmas '89. I began playing for a Jr. High School band in the 8th grade. From freshman to senior year in High School, I was the keyboardist for the jazz ensemble. In fall '95, I left California to attend at Wiley College studying music. This was a predominate Black College located in Marshall, Texas. I had the previlege of playing for their Jazz Ensemble and sing for their A'Capella Choir. With the choir, I traveled to Dayton which is in Ohio, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, etc. While at Wiley, I began appreciating Gospel Music as I played keyboards for the Gospel Choir. I was only at Wiley for a year. I came back to California to finish out my college years at Cerritos, then Cal State University Dominguez Hills where I recieved a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media Arts. Although, I did focused more on the musical aspects of D.M.A. I was involved in both of the school's Jazz Ensemble. I've started playing piano for churches in '96. In June 2004, Cornelius Mims who's a phenomenal bass player, got me started with playing keyboards for Ginger Jackson. Mims also got a gig with Temptations' singer,Ali Woodson and other artists in the music industry. I'm currently pursuing a music credential and I'm also involved in a music non-profit organization which helps the youth showcase their talents called "Subject 2 Change". I am currently in a relationship with a beautiful intelligent young lady who's very talented in art. In 2005, I returned to CSUDH to pursue a teaching credential in music (still in progress). music layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com
