Vetsal Claret recorded a 2 song demo in 2006 that was later released on vinyl split with Atlantean Kodex (I also handled lead vocals for AK at this time) on Metal Coven Records. A 10 song demo was released to labels and a CDEP of cover songs was also in the works. Vestal Claret split before these recordings were completed when I left to pursue these occult ideas and concepts with the more suited music of Hour of 13 who have released our debut CD/LP on Shadow Kingdom Records. Plans for a final Vestal Claret split release with my other side-project Earthlord that includes x-Legend (US) bass player Fred Mellilo and x-UOE guitarist Bill Ladely to give closure to both these bands is in the works for an early 2008 release.
In addition a new CD was released with Upwards of Endtime on Barbarian Wrath Records titled "From Genesis to Apocalypse and Beyond", my 3rd CD from UOE. My final appearance with Atlantean Kodex was released in winter 2007 with the song "Atlantean Kodex" on the compilation "New Age of Iron" released on New Iron Age Records. I am most recently active with the doom rock band Seamount who have just finished recording new songs that released online and will be followed by a 12" vinyl release as well as being a part of the occult metal band Hour of 13 who released our debut in late 2007 on CD/LP by Shadow Kingdom Records.
Before creating Upwards of Endtime I was lead singer in the hardcore punk band Blastmat, releasing 2 full length CDs with them that were often compared to Agnostic Front, Discharge and the Exploited. I have also appeared earlier with the demo bands Damnation(CT) and KYD among others...
At this time all my focus and attention is directed solely to Seamount a band I feel embraces all my needs musically. Tim and and I have been hardworking for more than a year on delivering the "new torch of doom rock" style of Seamount and early 2008 will show the fruits of our labor. We also have an acoustic side project together called II that will be releasing material sometime in 2008. Keep attention to this page for lateset release dates and merchandise. Seamount and Hour of 13 shirts are available now! Sizes (L), (XL), (XXL). A limited number of UOE shirts are available in (L) only. $14 US/CAN; $18 overseas. Price includes shipping.
It is said: "Seamount play Stoner Doom Heavy Rock in the vein of Pentagram, Saint Vitus and Sheavy, with the vocalist joining Sheavy in a near perfect early 70s Ozzy Osbourne impersonation." "Seamount is a traditional Heavy Doom Metal band from Germany and a couple of days ago, they released their sametitled, nearly perfect debut album, influenced by the Fathers Of Doom, Pentagram, Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus and Revelation … with a pinch of N.W.O.B.H.M. elements The band provides us with 9 very inspired compositions with some heavy riffing and a unique atmosphere. I do not wish to say any more except the fact that the album is available for free downloading with full Info and artwork through the Bands myspace. Ladies and Gentlemen “Doom Or Be Doomedâ€" "Freaking awesome!!!!New Doom Metal/Doom Rock project of vocalist Phil Swanson (of Atlantean Kodex, Vestal Claret, Hour of 13, Upwards of Endtime, Earthlord..etc.etc..)He was a unique voice...either you are a fan or not...I am, so i give it a 10/10...every track has it going on!! memorable choruses, memorable leads, memorable lyrics, memorable riffs....." "Riffs are classic sounding but have a sort of modern touch to them. Very nice. The vocals holy crap, are the best for this style. Whenever I listen to this I feel as if I need to re-grow my hair to its former glory and put up a few black light posters. Seamount FTW."I also own and operate Revell Records / Swayingball Music
