Hi-Bias Records Inc. (Hi-Bias) is an independent music production house, record label and publishing company, dedicated to producing, publishing and marketing its own music. It is the brain-child of Nick Fiorucci (Fiorucci) a music entrepreneur who at age 32, became the youngest person ever to be inducted into The Records Canadian Music Hall of Fame. In 1993, Hi-Bias became the first Canadian dance label to be distributed by a major label. When BMG Music signed Canadas first dance act, Oval Emotion, it was a Hi-Bias discovered and produced act.Hi-Bias continued domestic achievements include winning a Juno Award and eleven other nominations, a MuchMusic Video Award, dozens of top-10 dance videos and national dance singles and five Top-40 national CHR singles. To date, Hi-Bias has released over thirty albums in Canada, entered into over 500 international licensing agreements and gross sales from third-party licensing of Hi-Bias controlled copyrights now count in excess of two-million units worldwide. In terms of license volume, Hi-Bias international track record is virtually unmatched by any other Canadian label.
