Cardell: Bio
Singer, songwriter Cardell Evens, Jr is taking his original brand of R&B influenced music to a whole new level. With over a decade of performance credits to his name, Cardell is destined to become one of musics newest rising stars. His smooth blend of Acoustic driven R&B with Jazz and neo-Soul undertones sets Cardell apart from the rest of his musical counterparts.
An Orlando native, Cardell spent much of his time performing with several local R&B vocal groups throughout the 90s. Cardell experienced relative success with these groups; however, his most accomplished credits began when he set out on his own as a solo artist and took the Orlando club scene by storm. Currently, his credits include performances at Orlandos famed Improv Comedy Clubs Soulful Caf and being a featured vocalist on Universal Records recording artist Granddaddy Souths debut album Dirty Old Man. Cardell has also warmed the stage for the likes of Trick Daddy Dollar, Lil Webbie and Plies (Slip-n-Slide Records). Most recently, Cardell was selected as a feature artist for the MAC Aids Charity Event at Club Paris, Orlando.
As impending success and his fan base continue to grow, Cardell is taking it all in stride. Currently, Cardell is in the studio working on his debut album. Featured tracks include: Gangsta Girl, Back in Love, and I Can See Clearly.
