Co Promoter and DJ at Horse Meat Disco. every Sunday @ South Central. 349 Kennington Lane, Vauxhall, London Born a stone's throw away from the site of the Glastonbury Festival it was clear that Music would feature heavily in James' future. His dad himself a DJ brought James up on a diet of soul funk disco and other things he prefers not to divulge. Having mispent his summers at numerous Glastonbury festivals James moved to London in 1996 to start a degree in Italian and Swedish at UCL. It was here that James first got his taste for nightclubs. Hanging out at Plastic People, Happiness Stans where deep house and disco was on the menu. It was around this time that James started working for various record labels and on his year abroad the the beatuiful Italian city of Bologna he stared work with legendary Italian label Irma. On his return home he stared working for Strut Records reissuing afrobeat, disco and funk. James was in his element. He was even happier when cool London label Nuphonic took him on. It was at Nuphonic that James met Adam Goldstone. A man who would have a major impact on what happened next. Having convinced James to throw a party he teamed up with friend and promoter Jim Stanton and after a few parties Horse Meat Disco was born. The night now has near legendary status amongst music lovers of all persuasions. As a result James can now be found DJing around Europe be it in Paris or Moscow, Warsaw or Stockholm. This year James will be at the Glastonbury Festival as part of the NYC Downlow which is co-produced by Horse Meat Disco as well as the Lovebox festival in London but you can always find him djing or proping up the bar at Horse Meat Disco every Sunday at South Central in Vauxhall. Watch this space for new Horse Meat Disco saturday night parties starting this summer..... And if you are down at the club. Come and say hello and let me buy you a sherry or five!
