About Me

About me? That would entail some heavy self-introspection I'm too lazy to explore right now. On the periphery, I'm 26, have an awesome family, love the Lord with all my heart, and have an amazing group of best friends. If you want to know anything deeper than that, just ask me... who knows, I may answer.--- check out my blog at rockitoldschool.blogspot.com

My Interests

I really dig Coca-Cola (and all soft drinks, for that matter). Love all sports except hockey: Duke (college)basketball, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Cubs, and Notre Dame (college) football (been hooked since Rudy). Love reading- all genres, watch way too much TV, love the beach. I could go on forever... My interest is piqued very easily, so this could be a long list. I'll save you the tedium of reading through it.

I'd like to meet:

tony dungy, chuck klosterman, don miller, aaron sorkin, dennis miller, ellen degeneres, chris rock, bill o'reilly, bill maher, craig ferguson, michael wilbon, tony kornheiser, every single person making antoine's life brighter while he's in iraq, hopper's future wife, robbie's future son... and, most of all, the poor, pitiful saps at Mark David, Inc. who have to answer to carson norcross every day.

Music:

"if you're gonna play in texas, you gotta have a fiddle in the band..."

Movies:

A River Runs Through It, Shawshank Redemption, Legends of the Fall, Forest Gump, Braveheart, Usual Suspects... Anchorman, Dumb and Dumber, Austin Powers trilogy, anything Adam Sandler.

Television:

SEINFELD- the greatest show ever put on the air (never will it be topped). Survivor, Two and a Half Men, Grey's Anatomy, Sports Night, Prison Break, Entourage

Books:

Way too many to list. All time favorites are still the Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis. Love all of Nicholas Evans' books, Donald Miller, Chuck Klosterman, Koren Zailckas (who will eventually be remembered as one of the best writers of our generation; mark my words), David Maine, J. Wes Yoder (this dude can write; check him out), Sue Monk Kidd, Brad Meltzer, Stuart Woods, Brian Freeman, Michael Connelly, Robert James Waller, Jodi Picoult

Heroes:

My grandfather, Doug Carty. That's a remarkable man right there, folks... oh, and the leprechaun from Lucky Charms
