friendly and curious

About Me

I'm a nerd, into art, comix and "stuff". I'm friendly, pretty fun and I think I'm fairly smart and know things, except when it comes to sports trivia. Well, maybe that makes me smarter actually. I'm a graphic artist and I also draw comix. I have a good sense of humor, love to laugh and I'm pretty goofy. I always enjoy good conversation and have a weakness for socializing. I'm "intellectually curious" so I like to learn new things and investigate stuff no matter how impractical. I'm easy to talk to and a pretty mellow person overall. You can see some of the stuff I do here Polypop.com

My Interests

Visual art, independent comix, music, film, reading, laughing and humor, good food, good stories, fashion, dancing, riding my bike (an Electra Townie), politics and public policy, history, science, world religion, Unitarian Universalism, good and bad sci-fi, toys, Apple Computer, NPR, pals, most asian pop culture, offbeat and weird stuff. Learning everything. Too many interests, not enough time though.

I'd like to meet:

Friendly and smart people who are fun to be around, positive and low maintenance. I like people who are open-minded independent thinkers and actually question things and aren't just blindly going through the motions in life. People who aren't uptight and judgemental. People who are creative or at least have a good appreciation of creative types and the arts. People who are motivated and positive and pleasant to be around, excessive sarcasm, cynicism and negativity wears me down. People who have a good sense of humor and can appreciate the surreal, goofy, stupid and absurd. Also I want to meet: artists, writers, indy cartoonists, filmmakers. People involved in bi-partisan healthcare reform. People who are part of the "liberal-jewish run media" conspiracy. "Strict Constructionists" and "Activist Judges", Kinky Friedman, Unitarian Universalists. Ann Richards. Mark Warner, Steve Jarding, Wes Clark, John McCain, David Cross. Steve Jobs. Anyone who works for the Jim Henson company, NPR or This American Life. ---------------------------------------------------------- ------- By the way I'd like to meet or have email / real life conversations with people before I add them to my "friends" list. I'm not into the collecting "friends" thing for people I've never even met. That shouldn't discourage you from saying hi, I love to meet new people. I just think you should actually get to to know me before inviting me into your "inner circle" of awful generic bands, prostitutes, ads disguised as people and knuckleheads with their shirts off.
