I've always believed that I was destined for great things in life, and have been a dreamer and a "pursuer" of those dreams for as long as I can remember. I put my all into everything I do, and have a passion for life and people-particularly those that I love and care about. My Interests

I have a variety of interests. My primary interests revolve around my boys. I love to listen to music, live concerts, love to dance salsa, ballet, and other styles. I started dancing ballet at a young age and still like to take a class or two.. I work out on a consistent basis and am currently really enjoying yoga and pilates!.. I love listening to music, and enjoy many different genres...I love candles, watching movies whether it be a blockbuster night or at the movie theater, and enjoy cooking and eating...lol..I love girly things, love to shop (especially for shoes and clothes!), go to the spa (pedicures and massages are the best!), etc..I love spending time with family and friends--just hanging out and talking and laughing..I'm addicted to SOY lattes..lol I love reading poetry and other inspirational writings..I like to write poetry and other writings when I feel inspired..I'm always smiling, because I believe I have alot to smile about..:) I see the good in basically every person I meet..I love people...I have a strong passion for my music and for increasing my knowledge, as well as growing as a person..

Music:

I enjoy MANY types of music, and am multi-faceted in that regard..My favorites include Brian McKnight, India.Arie, Will Downing, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Kelly Price, Beyonce, Jill Scott, Angie Stone, Floetry, Maxwell..I enjoy alot of r&b and neo-soul, however have recently acquired a taste for some jazz..Favorites in that realm include Miles, Marsalis, and Brubeck, whom I've actually had the opportunity to perform with on a couple of occasions!:) I'm really enjoying Laura Kahle and Jaleel Shaw right now as well..And, of course being a classical musician, I enjoy classical too..Favorites include Debussy, Faure, Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, and many, many others!!

Movies:

Television:

I honestly don't watch much television..I loved "Dancing with the Stars" when that was on..I like dramas and suspense movies

Books:

The Four Agreements, The Five Love Languages, any and all of my Music History books, poetry by Octavio Paz and other Latin American authors, and the Bible..

My mom, grandmother, my students, every flute teacher I have ever had, and, of course, my boys!!:) Oh, and Oprah!!
