Rich Kuhn is originally from Barrington Rhode Island, but moved around quite a bit when he was in his formative years. There were a host of influences which developed his talent for songwriting. Rich grew up listening to Delta Blues, a somewhat strange taste for a Northern pre-teen at the time. While blues is Rich's musical backbone, he has come into his own, and has a distinctive style which draws elements from the artists who inspired him as a boy.Rich started playing the guitar around age 10. In fact, his father was laid up with a back problem when Rich would carefully sneak into the living room where the borrowed Gibson Les Paul was stowed, remove it from the case and played. Though Rich was young, he developed his musical skills quite naturally, and at 14 was performing blues and classic rock songs at local watering holes. At 16 Rich was gigging regularly with the Second Hand Blues Band, simultaneously writing music that he still performs today. As a self taught musician, Rich plays the drums, keyboard, guitar, and anything else he can get his hands on and manipulate. At 26, Rich continues to come up with sincere, heartfelt music such as the well received "The One Away", "Heartbroken", the most requested "Don't Walk Away", and the newest "Just Killed a Man".Rich will be scheduling live dates soon.
