Ray grew up listening to New Wave and Electro in the 80's. In the subsequent 90's, he began to broaden his audio pleasures with the sound of 70's Funk, Jazz, and Fusion. When he began to make music, he fused these many influences into one funky melting pot to define the style of what would become Hand Polished. Ray has releases from Guidance (US), Good Looking (UK), Nettwerk (Canada), Do Right music (Canada) and remixes for Compost (Germany) and Hooj Choons (UK) records. His tracks were featured in various compliations released by well-known labels like Hed Kandi (UK).
