Venice Underground

About Me

After the Success of the first Venice Underground album, due to the vision and ideas of Peter DiStefano (Porno for Pyros) with thanks to the likes of Eric Avery (Jane's Addiction), Kevin Haskins (Bauhaus), and other special guests who made the project special, Peter has decided to team up with Producer Bryan Goldberg (B. Kosher Entertainment, Rudeboy Records, Empire/Universal Music Group & UMVD), the amazing vocalist and lovely musician known as the Electric Mantra, and other special guest musicians once again in order to express the true essence of Venice Beach, CA, along with the rest of the West Coast of the US to uplift and bring back the true nature of what can be experienced through this eclectic place and this eclectic world. This is truly heard in the diversity of the music as the sounds of the underground and the wild expression of mood are heard through amazing sounds of electric guitar, digital programming, surround sound and special light shows so that one may "see the sounds and hear the sights." They have decided to take a different approach to the work this time, and have many special guests and featuring the unbeleivable sounds of a true master of his instrument, Mike Watt on bass, (currently Iggy & The Stooges, and personally created the bands such as Minutemen, Firehose, and was also featured as a bassist and touring bassist for the infamous Porno for Pyros, etc), and the album also features some drumming from the genious Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction, The Panic Channel, Banyan, etc). Stay posted for more info on this album inspired by the psychedelic ideas and eyes of Producer Bryan "Baruch" Goldberg, The amazing talent of the Electric Mantra, all the guests who have volunteered to be a part of this, and, of course, the infamous sounds of Peter DiStefano who after his extreme battles and victories over drug addictions and cancer, has a whole new view and light to shine from the Undergrounds of Venice, to the rest of the world. Together, they have decided to ride the Ultimate Wave....
