Well I'm too sure what I should say. But In a nutshell I'm a true blue music brother soul sister with a love of the great out doors.
1994 – 95 Beechwood Music – Licensing Manager: Licensed tracks for the acclaimed Mastercuts compilation album series. Promoted to Label Manager for Streetsounds, re-compiled the Jazz Juice series, the Anthems series and the Best Of Electro. Assisted with marketing for Electro.1995 – 97 Freelance label manager for Hubbub Records, researching, compiling, licensing and marketing funk, soul and jazz albums such as the Funky Jams, Soul Selection, and Jazzier Rhythms series.1995 – 2007 Writing and producing music for Ninja Tune stars The Herbaliser. To date we’ve released five albums and many singles and remixes.1997 – 2006 Researching, compiling, and licensing rare LPs and singles for Jazzman Records. We are currently about to release our 54th single and 9th compilation album.1998 – 2006 I started a group call Flying Fish on Federation Records. We released 2 EPS and 3 12†singles and appeared on various compilations and one 7 inch single1998 - 2000 Head of A&R for LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking subsidiary Cookin’ Records. I also released stuff on this label2000 – 2002 Opened my own studio in Southwest London The Fishtank where I have been producing and writing music for various UK & European labels2003 compiled “It Takes Two†which was to be a duets compilation to be released on LP & CD for Harmless Records.2003 - 2005 Started as a Part time lecturer working for Reading University. Teaching music technology, music business (m.c.p.s/publishing, labels, licensing, freelance, web site, etc). Fantasy Fun!!2005 – 2006 Started Skyline Recordings label. Had four releases so date, which has sold very well for an indie label.2006 – 2007 Worked for Belmont Vinyl pressings ltd as head of production and sales. My role within the company was to make sure all manufacturing job’s run smoothly from getting songs master to organizing metal work, labels and finally making sure that the customers gets the records on time.
My other main duty was sales, which was searching for labels, artist and distributors who need vinyl manufacturing. I left in April 2007.Also known for being a FUNK selector & crate digger and sample hunter. Due to collecting lots of record I’ve also become a journey's DJ, I like to give you on a musical history trip when I play, a little bit from all the dancy genres.I make music with a group called "The Herbaliser" I used to go to school with Ollie teeba, We met Jake Wherry very soon start making music, as he had a wicked studio around the corner, Our first adventure was under the name of The Propheteers we release two track “The Reds†“Listen Too Meâ€, these tracks where release on a compilation called London…something classics, can’t remember the rest of the title and I don’t have a copies any more. But a couple of years later the Herbaliser was born. Here are some of the titles I’ve co-written & produced with them:
