Beat Junkie For Life!!!

About Me

I moved to Australia in 2001 to be with my girlfriend, who's now my wife of 6 years. I teach high school Geography (profession) and DJ around town (passion). I'm the father of 2 energetic boys, Zach (5) and Hendrix (2). My wife, Johdean, is a chiropractor. After leaving my band of 7 years to come to Australia, I've now gone back to writing reggae/hiphop music with an assortment of people. We'll see what happens with that.

My Interests

DJ'ing, reading, basektball, writing music, playing with my kids, forums and drawing.

I'd like to meet:

Ralph Nader, Martin Scorcese, Tom Wolfe, Sam Neuman and assortment of people who have unfotunately died, so I guess I'll never meet them, i.e. James Brown, Hunter S Thompson, Shannon Hoon, Bradley Nowell, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Gerald Ford (just to see what kind of shady deal he pulled with Nixon in those last days) and Lyle Alzado.

Music:

Reggae, dancehall, breaks, hip hop, drum'n'bass, rock, metal, soul, funk, pop, electro, ska; good music!

Movies:

Good Fellas, Godfather 1+2, Full Metal Jacket, In The Line of Fire, Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction and Dazed & Confused, Human Traffic, Anything by Tim Burton; too many to remember.

Television:

Family Guy, American Dad, Survivor, Simpsons, Secret Life of Us, Last Man Standing, Fat Actress; unfortunately TV is something we dont have much time to watch anymore. Did I say "unfortunately"?

Books:

Anything by Hunter S Thompson, Charles Bukowski, Elmore Leonard, Jeffrey Archer, Ken Kesey and Bryce Courtney will keep me entertained. Due to my job, all I want to do is come home and escape in a book...not have my mind expanded in any way...though I'm not against mind expansion from one time or another. I read approximately 2-3 books a month...they're the only things that can put me to sleep at night!

Heroes:

Bob Marley, Ralph Nader and my mom!

OBLIVEUS   With the modern invention of the DJ, I was at first appalled that people who couldn't even tune a guitar were playing sold out shows at all my favorite clubs. Weren't they just playing...
