Im quite fond of science. I think I already mentioned that...Besides that, I go out a lot, catch up with friends, you know, the usual. I work out a few times a week, mostly yoga, pilates and (once my knees repair) cycling and running. I'm a HUGE movie buff, probably watch waaaay too much TV, and like pretty much everyone on here, I like art.
Jude Law. And Johnny Depp. Same reason for both. Add Orlando Bloom to the mix.. After seeing Pirates ..-drool-
A lot of different styles, when I go out, i like breaks and electro, a bit of psy-trance is always fun too. Not a big fan of commercial house, or hard trance, even though i worked in a rave club for a while.... Faker, Sarah Blasko, Mike Patton (Music to make love to your old lady by is probably my favourite all-time CD), The Herd, Ben Harper, U2... etc etc Pretty standard really.I like a bit of industrial music too, on the odd occasion. I listen to Triple J in the car. I just really can't do boy bands/girl bands/sappy crap/country, and I think somebody needs to STOP FUCKING BUYING CASEY CHAMBERS ALREADY, ugh, the woman MURDERED True Colours. Same goes for any past Idol winner. ENOUGH.
LOVE LOVE LOVE film. Any film really, although my favourite "genre", if that is the right word, is Asian cinema. Martial arts, drama, sci-fi, the Asians really know how to make a slick piece of film. OldBoy, Lady Snowblood, Ichi the Killer, Crouching Tiger/Hero/House of Flying Daggers, Japanese horror, Korean action.. .Bring it on.
Im a TV whore from WAAAAY back. The trashier, the better. Big Brother? Yes, please. Reality TV MAY BE the lowest form of entertainment, but damn, IT SURE IS ENTERTAINING. And how great are The Simpsons STILL, after all these years? Family Guy, American Dad, South Park, Drawn Together.. Yes please.
I used to read, alll the time. Now, i barely find the time. The Secret History, The Crucible, To Kill A Mockingbird, To The Lighthouse, and I like my trashier fiction too.. Micheal Chrichton, Dean Koontz.. And I'll add to this list once I get around to unpacking my bookshelf.
Dr Barry Marshall, who won the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2005. He (along with Dr Robin Warren) proved that H. pylori caused gastic inflammation by deliberately infecting himself with the bacterium. Read again - he drank a vial of bacteria. Now THAT'S dedication.
