About Me

Born and raised in Queens NY, I’ve been playing in bands since I was in junior high school. I still occasionally gig. I’ve also lived in Connecticut, Philadelphia and Nashville, but I always seem to come back to New York. While I’ve spent a fair amount of time in other fields, my main interest has always been music. I’ve worked for a few record labels and I’m currently a director for the Songwriters Guild of America. Through the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to meet and/or work with a lot of artists I have always admired in music….Peter Frampton, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Dave Edmunds, Al Jarreau, Stevie Winwood, Carl Perkins and many others. One of my greatest memories has got to be working with Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton as Associate Producer for Jack’s “Shadows in the Air” CD. Just being in the control room as Jack and Eric recorded new versions of “Sunshine of Your Love” and “White Room” was an incredible experience. Jack had a great sense of humor, and Eric was very bright, could speak on a wide range of subjects, and was a true gentleman. He was a pleasure to work with.I’ve written liner notes, conducted and published interviews, was in charge of art direction, did some editing and engineering or was project director on a few CD’s, including those by Melanie, Juice Newton, Shania Twain, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, George Benson and some other projects, much of which I don’t even remember at this point. But it was all fun. Well, most of it.My interest right now is in helping to encourage the careers of beginning and intermediate songwriters, and I get the chance to see a lot of great talent by working with the Songwriters Guild of America. I still occasionally write, but haven’t had much time lately. I was fortunate to have been able to write a few songs with Bob Feldman (of the legendary writing/production team Feldman-Goldstein-Gottehrer), who wrote, among other things, “My Boyfriend’s Back”, “I Want Candy”, “Cara-Lin” and “Sorrow”, and produced many hits, including “Hang On Sloopy”. I’ve played at the Back Fence and Kenny’s Castaways in NY, the Bluebird in Nashville, and the Hot Club in Philly. So, all in all, I’ve had a good time of things.I have good, loyal friends and family and I enjoy my relationships. Couldn’t really ask for more. Well, I could, but by now, I’ve grown to understand what Jagger and Richards meant: “You can’t always get what you want....but if you try sometimes, you might find, you get what you need”..................................................... ............................................................ ....................................................SCHOOLS: PS90 Queens NY, Russell Sage JHS190 Queens NY, Richmond Hill High Queens NY, Long Island University Brookville NY ............................................................ ......................
