The Last Embrace

THE LAST EMBRACE was formed in 1998. In 2000, the band seemed to have found its style, which could be best categorized as atmospheric metal. This was also the year they played their first gigs. With the help of Stephan May they’ve recorded a EP in 2001 (including their first singer, Nathalie). In early 2003, their first 5 track CD became available. This year was also filled with live performances, such as The Rotonde Festival in Hirson (France, with PARADISE LOST, SAXON, AFTER FOREVER, SUP...), the First Metal Female Voices Festival in Brussels (Belgium, with EPICA, ANTHEMON, AUTUMN...) and also few gigs in Paris. In 2004, The Last Embrace opened for the Parisian gig of THE GATHERING and played many concerts with bands like VANDEN PLAS, ASRAI, EVE OF DESTINY. The end of 2004 was a period of trouble for the band. In a short period of time, three members decided to leave the band. In June 2005, with a new line up (including a new singer, Sandy), The Last Embrace was ready to record its first album called INSIDE. Once again, Stephan May was chosen for the recording and the mix, Goran Finnberg was chosen for the mastering. In 2006 and 2007, the band mainly played acoustic gigs (several times with DANNY CAVANAGH -ANATHEMA- and also ANTIMATTER, LEAFBLADE, FAITH AND THE MUSE...). At the fall 2007, Vik (bass) leaves The Last Embrace.
