Songs For the Long Journey is a great compilation of different sounds and messages, it easily is capable of touching the masses. "In this island city, a dirty snow begins to fall. Vinnie James has returned with power and passion. Songs For The Long Journey speaks to the world at a time when the world needs to listen. Each of the 11 songs finds its way from your ear to your brain to your heart. Highlights include Homeless Man, Queen of the Dance, County Line, My Heaven, and the haunting Hello Angel. Hello Angel takes the top prize for me so far. It's so beautiful. I love the simplicity of the stripped down recording. The power and strength of Vinnie's voice is the perfect match for the soft, simple guitar hook. While I wait for disc 3 from Vinnie, Songs For The Long Journey will remain in heavy rotation in my disc player and on my ipod"
