About Me

I am CASPER MARTINEZ actor/writer/producer. In 1999 I did a movie called Prison Song that got me into SAG from then I've co produced (MANITO 2002) which won over 12 awards in film festivals including SUNDANCE & Tribeca Film festivals. I worked as a segment producer and on camera talent for AIM Television & Maximas on their magazine show "Urban Latino TV" for several years. Thereafter I landed several roles as an actor and On-camera talent in Carlito's Way rise to Power as "Colorado", El Vacilon the movie as "Punetas boyfriend" and 2 seasons of ESPN's World Dominoes tournament on ESPN2 & ESPN Deportes along side Alvaro Martin. During that time I had the opportunity to worked creatively with Luis Jimenez and Moonshadow from La Mega 97.9 FM New York's No. 1 Spanish Market radio station. I produced their "live" performances videos, collaborate on sketches and even performed on a short lived Telemundo sketch show we did called WEEPA.As for 2008 it's already started pretty fast I started my own production banner Casper Martinez productions in which I'm pitching a show with my buddy Luis Guzman, Producing a documentary with my good friend Gabe Adubato. I am consulting on the new "EL Vacilon" for MEGA 97.9 fm with my good friend MOONSHADOW. I was recently seen on Law & Order Criminal Intent: Season 7 Episode: "Offense" on USA Network. If you play video games you'll hear my voice on the new "Grand Theft Auto V" and I'm in the feature "Shine ON" premiering at the New York Latino film Festival 2008.

Miles Davis, Stevie Winwood, Stevie Nicks, 80's music after all I am an eighties kid. I like some Hip Hop some of the shit out there today is sad...., Love rock and roll especially the classics, RUSH, Led, I like Maiden, Metalicca, Kiss, Some Salsa, can't stand that BACHATA Shit. I'm also fond of the blues, Counting crowes, matchbox 20, Billy Joel, fuckin' love Linkin Park, Guns N Roses, Limp Bizkit!!!!

Television:

Is always on!!! Love Family Guy, Adult Swim rocks!!, South Park, Chapelle show, the old Saturday night live, although I like Wil ferrell, NYPD Blue, Law & Order, CSI all of them, no reality shows ugh!!!!!

Books:

I like Stephen King and Dean Koontz even though they are similar in genre I still dig both their stuff. I also like Walter Mosley he's got it going on with the Fearless jones stories. I know I should read more often in terms of books but don't worry I'm constantly reading. On the net, scripts, newspapers I get my share of literature in.
