Primitive Rock-N-Roll, men in gold lame' suits, costumery, and opera. Among other things.
Anyone and everyone who enjoys the rawk-n-roll. I'm not a hipster and I do not subscribe to any "cooler than thou" music-snob attitudes. I'm just a girl who really, really likes music, theatre, film and the arts, and the people involved, especially if they have a good sense of humor and a general lack of pretension.
I'm the sort of person who thinks that nobody is "too cool" or too unattainable to talk to - so if you have some measure of celebrity, I'll probably talk to you like you're my friendly next door neighbor, and if you are a struggling artist with little hype or publicity, I'll probably treat you like a god.
Too many to list. Obviously, I love garage rock, R&B, rockabilly, northern soul, freakbeat, FUZZ, psych....you get the idea. But I'm also a big fan of 80s new wave and pop. Yeah, I own a Wham! Greatest Hits CD. So sue me.
I am a "horror gourmand," which in my case means that I have very little in the way of discerning taste when it comes to horror movies. Artsy, trashy, high-brow, exploitation - they are all fair game.
Project Runway, of course. Top Chef. Ace of Cakes or any Food Network cake-decorating challenge show. Black Books. Venture Bros. Garth Marenghi's Dark Places. And definitely Blackadder.
Alexandre Dumas, Emile Zola, Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories, Natsuo Kirino, Thomas Ligotti, and of course anything by Poe or H.P. Lovecraft. Actually, most horror/crime/dark fantasy. But not vampire novels. I'm really picky about vampire novels.
Lizzie Borden, Edith Head, Eiko Ishioka, David Byrne, Martin Fry, Emily Post, Wendy Case, Richard Lloyd, Boy George
