Ryles, of Columbus, Ohio, the artist now known as YOUNG WISE, is set to take over!If you know anything about the hip hop scene in Ohio, the first thing that comes to mind is Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony, or lil' Bow Wow. Until now, the talent in the Midwest has not been displayed properly." Excuse my cockiness, but this is what I do" says Wise (laughing).This 23-year old star has truly earned the right to put his city on his shoulders, while reaching for the top, but surely will explain to anyone, that this game isn't easy.Beginning to take his talent seriously by the summer of 2001, Wise had no idea the road to glory would be full of high hills, sharp curves and dead ends. Preparing his first project with local producer John Penn, Wise soon learned the basic of being in a studio. Working long nights, the two of them put together an 18-track album called "You got to love it". However, selling 5k units & creating a buzz throughout Ohio, still wasn't enough for the kid. Trying to not return to the streets that only got him in trouble, he continued the plan that was once a dream drawn up by videos and just being broke. Now, don't get it twisted, this youngster didn't just wake up & pick up the mic. His talent was in his blood, way before he knew it. With a musically gifted family, ranging from jazz, r&b and gospel, rap seemed like the right thing to do.He realized that the same streets he was trying to stay out of, was the place where people would listen; they would become the fan, and eventually the buyers. The believers! The sound of the mix tape "Gunplay" swept hoods throughout the Midwest. Hearing this arrogant young voice ministering industry beats and collaborating with some of Ohio's best, was like finding a diamond in the rough to many. Consistently smashing the streets with mix tapes - Getting ugly: vol.1, The King, Rightnow, etc - moving more than 20k units total, soon showed a side of Wise no had seen before. It showed his ambition, drive and self-cockiness. "I was the one pressing and packaging a thousand cds a week, writing my number on each and every one. Sun, snow or rain I was grinding this thing out!" says the rapper.Singing his own hooks on most of his work, the swagger he possesses is heard, the instant you hear him. Opening for majors such as Scarface, Memphis bleak, Boys n'dahood and featuring on a slew of indie projects, Wizzle (nickname) began to travel out the buckeye state in search of something, that would help him put the Midwest on the map as he intended. Blessed to conjure up a hit, which would later become the theme song for ESPN's "CITY SLAM", the phones started ringing, and Wise was soon off to the big apple.In 2005, with the help of Zig-Zag management Young Wise was introduced to MMG records. After months of hearing beats, and a lot of drink, the friendship between Wise & MultiMan, CEO of MMG records, the real hits began to bang out. The "bassy" rock like song "Midwest Bounce" was just the first of many that lead to the inking of a joint deal with MMG and Ohio based recording label Inhouse Entertaiment.Now 2006, Wise is gathering hits preparing for a national release. Managing a collection of artist known throughout the Midwest as "The Take over gang" (T.O.G) and holding hip-hop seminars in local schools, the young celebrity is ready to show what he's made of. "Nigga i'm from the O, and I'm reppin hard" says this anxious artist about his future.
