7 Day Entertainment started as M.A.C.U. (Money And Coming Up) Records in 2000. M.A.C.U. linked up with OnDaRun Productions that same year and began making music. At that time, M.A.C.U. Records consisted of one artist (Torch). Torch had a very close friend that wanted to do music also, but wanted to remain on the business aspect of things. His name is Chris Stone, a.k.a. Mock. OnDaRun Productions consisted of Da Chemist (then known as DJ B) and Graffiti Jones (then known as Gary Johnson).
In 2003, Chris was wanting to set M.A.C.U. to the side and start fresh. He had a dilemma. The first and most important element to any company is the name.
Chris was living in Birmingham, Alabama at the time and called one of his artists (Kevin McDaniel a.k.a. Sandman) in Jacksonville, Florida. Needing a name, Chris explained to Sandman that the next 7 days are dedicated to nothing else, but coming up with a great name for this new record label. After Chris repeated himself several times, Sandman finally spoke up and said Yo. Youve already come up with the name. Youre dedicating the next 7 days to finding the right name. God also created the world in 7 days and it was beautiful. 7 Day Records. Chris took what his good friend had said and created 7 Day Entertainment.
7 Day Entertainment is the most original, creative label in the underground industry. It's not an east coast sound. It's not a west coast sound. It's definitely not a dirty south sound. Some have said that it has a little Midwest flavor, but it's not even that. It's called originality and creativity. It's the sound that hip-hop fans have craved for, but no one has been able to provide. It's real. Real hip-hop.
7 Day has been in the making for several years. They have recorded numerous albums and countless songs, but waited until they had the perfect combination of sounds to release to the public. No matter what you look for when you pop in one of their CDs, you will be bobbing your head before you are done listening to the album.
About us:
We are an underground record label based in Columbus, Ohio. We have artists and staff members located in Jacksonville, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Detroit, Michigan; Birmingham, Alabama; Washington, D.C.; and a few other locations around the nation. We are going to begin sponsoring models as well. Keep checking back, because our "MySpace" will be updated a couple of times a week.
Who I'd like to meet:
We are currently looking to meet aspiring models. We used to have models model for our old website, and we helped them find other jobs. All of them have continued on to do other work and are happy. We are not really looking for professional models, due to the cost. If you are interested, contact us. We would love to sit down and figure if you are right for our future plans.
