Six-term Senator from Delaware in the United States Senate, with a wife and 3 kids. I was pivotal in our intervention in the Bosnia region in the 1990s. I also authored legislation which brought attention to and fought domestic violence against women.
I'm very proud of our screen door factories in Wilmington. I'm also truly proud of the state that Delaware has become: inclusive, prosperous and free. Our great governor Ruth Ann Miner and my fellow Senator Tom Carper have also been crucial to the success of our tiny but influential part of the nation. Let's bring that prosperity and well-being to the rest of the United States!
I'm also one of the only professional legislators that does NOT live in Washington D.C. Instead, I ride Amtrak home every night to Wilmington, DE.
