Technorati ProfileElizabeth Whitener aka Izzy Glass, was an influential promoter in the punk and alternative scene on the West Coast in the 1980's.With a technical degree in Sonic Arts and Sound Design, achieved under the tutelage of the esteemed Fred Catero, from the College for Recording Arts in 1985, Elizabeth later went to LA to work as a consultant for Capital Records.Through the years, Elizabeth has managed and consulted on all levels of the music business, specializing in the indie realm. She has also organized and coordinated, numerous musical festivals and events, later becoming a successful Corporate Event Coordinator, in Miami Florida.She now lives with her 14 year old son in Austin, and works as managing consultant for Crush m Records, an independent label with national distribution through City Hall Records. She is also the business manager and coordinator for When Girls Collide, who is just recently breaking into the Austin and College Radio scene.Elizabeth's new endeavor, is an independent artist management, promotion and consulting company called January Moon. The sole purpose of January Moon, is to support independent artists world wide, with whatever they may need assistance, in order to enable them to be seen and heard by those that would appreciate what they have to offer, without succumbing to the pressures of commercialism and the demands of mass production.
