French born, Guillaume Luisetti, received his baccalaureate in 1991. He graduated from the Paris Photography School "ICART Photo" in 1994 with the "congratulations of the jury" which is equal to the American honours. When he was called to serve his country, he passed the tests of the ECPA and was accepted in the Prime Minister's Photographic Services where he worked as a photographer from December 1994 to September 1995.
Guillaume has worked as a freelance photographer for such diverse clients as Altran Technologies' bulletins and annual reports, to the exceptional perfumers of the Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle. He also made a specialty of the Family Portrait and considers himself as a portraitist.
Exhibitions that have involved his insightful work include "The Simple Minds of the John Bost Foundation" (Mois Bis de la Photo, Paris, 1996), "Sand Faces, Mauritania" (Espace Peugeot, Paris, 1997) and "A Red Cross Retreat, Boulogne" (Bayard Press Publishing, Paris, 1998).
Guillaume's pure, non-digital photographic art, as experienced through the lens of his simple 24x36 Leica, tends to be very rich in colour, though almost always only produced in black and white. His solemn and thoughtful portraits of all walks of life, from all around the Earth are moving, rich and emotional, even in their stillness. As he traverses the world peering at its diversity through the lens of his austere camera, he seems to have a knack for capturing the "feel" of the moment and trapping the soul of his subjects in all their glory.
How deep is his classic black and white work? Only the beholder can define that experience, but this author knows that anyone that can make you see the colours of the universe through their black and white creations has something special to offer us all.

Appelé au Service National, il passa les tests de l'ECPA et fut accepté aux Services Photographiques du Premier Ministre où il travailla en tant que photographe de Décembre 1994 à Septembre 1195.
Guillaume devint photographe freelance et réalisa de nombreux portraits pour des clients aussi bien institutionnels que privés, en presse, comme Jazz Magazine, en journaux internes et rapports annuels, comme Altran Technologies, ou encore en identité visuelle sous forme de galerie, comme les Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle. Il s'est également fait une spécialité du portrait de famille et est considéré aujourd'hui comme étant un portraitiste.
Les expositions représentatives de son travail comprennent "Les Simples d' Esprit de la Fondation John Bost" (Mois Bis de la Photo, Paris, 1996), "Visages de Sable, Mauritanie" (Espace Peugeot, Paris, 1997) et "Les Retraités de la Croix Rouge, Boulogne" (Editions Bayard Press, Paris, 1998).
La photographie pure et non digitale de Guillaume Luisetti, vécue à travers l'objectif de son simple Leica 24x36, est riche en couleurs, bien que majoritairement réalisée en Noir et Blanc. Ses portraits, dignes et profonds, de tous horizons et de toutes classes confondues, sont riches en émotions, même dans leur immobilité. Tandis qu'il traverse le monde témoignant de sa diversité au travers de son austère appareil, il semble avoir un don pour capturer le sentiment du moment et figer l'âme de ses sujets dans toute leur gloire.
Quelle est la portée de son travail? Seul le spectateur peut témoigner de cette expérience, mais quiconque capable de nous faire voir les couleurs de l'univers au travers de ses création en Noir et Blanc, a quelque chose de spécial à nous offrir.
