Aloha Everyone!
Greetings from Southern California. Many of our mornings, days and evenings are rather beautiful here ~ no matter what time of the year.
Life is full of constant change; and just like the wind and ocean currents ~ just go with the flow. Everything happens for a reason ~ be in the moment and raise your awareness.
Maintaining the privacy of my friends and their ability to maintain their freedom of speech on MySpace, has come under scrutiny. I believe the freedom of creative expression should not be surpressed. We are all ONE. Could you please respect that? Mahalo.
Therefore, if you are reading this, then you have found my profile. If you like what you see and/or read here, you are more than welcome to stay a while. If not, then please move on. If you are serious about adding me, please send me a message with your request.
Earlier last year, Grandpa Joe's passing inspired my friends at BLACK OCEAN to write and perform the song "The Last Days of Our Lives". Mahalo Tasos for your openness, friendship and love. Sharing your music is a gift that we will always cherish and remember.
The next time you're out and about, share a smile with a stranger ~ it may just be the highpoint of their day. Please remember to hurry slowly ~ most people will be in a rush. But, why? Slow down and enjoy the little moments that may just pass you by.
Extending kindness to others always comes back to you a thousand-fold. Return the favor and pay kindness bestowed upon you forward to someone else. It's a never-ending circle.
Priorities change on a daily basis: always keeping family first and foremost ~ the rest just falls into place.
May all the peace and beauty the universe has to offer be an integral part of your life ~ always. Celebrate each day as it comes. Leave the past where it is and live for the day! You are here in the present. Live and be in the moment. You are alive! That right there is celebration enough. Follow the bubbles ~ they travel in one direction ~ UP!!!
Love is Life ~ Life is Love. Both are in you....so just live it and let love in!
Wishing everyone a life full of abundance, peace, love, harmony, prosperity and Aloha... Here's wishing you and yours beautiful, peaceful, meaningful and productive days and bliss-filled evenings. Keep love alive in your heart. My spirit is with you always. Be well. Be safe. Be love. Be playful. Be light. Be warm. Be cool. Be happy ~ always. Namaste.

A NOTE TO FRIENDS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA: There are so many new events taking place during the upcoming weeks to add to your personal calendars ~ It's hard to keep up!
Currently awaiting the completion of new profiles from friends who have opened-up new businesses in the area. Wine Tasting, new restaurants and local shops.
I will continue to support Indie Bands and Artists as they make appearances in the area ~ more band or event information and locations can be found by view my pics and choosing UPCOMING EVENTS...

Hmmm.... Where do we begin?
Happily married to my best friend of 31-years ~ proud & protective mother of two awesome and gorgeous sons that I love with all my being that it could bury me alive.....
I'm an extreme sports (motocross, bmx, skateboarding) mom, who loves road racing, surfing & meditating ~ I love spending quiet time in and near the ocean ~ being outdoors enjoying the open air ~ the exhilaration of riding that seventh wave ~ opening-up my CBR along the Southern California coast and feeling the adrenalin rush pumping through my veins (a throttle-jockey) ~ horseback-riding through the trails in Palos Verdes is another way to enjoy the quiet beauty away from the city.

I love listening to Classic Rock, Adult Alternative and Country (now and again) ~ I think Old School Rocks! ~ I believe music is a part of life ~ close your eyes and listen with an open mind ~ if it's right you will feel it course through your veins and speak directly to your heart and soul ~ let it move you and take you on a journey ~ it may just shake you to the core of your being ~ just like the perfect wave...once you're there ~ enjoy the ride! ©Lanaki ~ May 21, 2006
I'm a domestic goddess ~ an avid stamper and scrapbooker ~ chief event organizer for any and all events that involve our ohana and extended ohana ~ family photographer ~ keeper-of-the-calendar ~ parent volunteer ~ art docent ~ mom's taxi ~ head chef ~ chief financial advisor ~ personal shopper ~ mechanic (domestic cars and foreign bikes...a wrench monkey) ~ notoriously resourceful ~ and did I fail to mention that I defintely have OCD & quite possibly Adult ADHD?!

Oh look, shiny!!!! ..I love being Hawai'ian and all things Hawai'iana; Ohana (Family) comes first and foremost in my life; spending quiet time with my youngest son reading, colouring, or drawing; spending quality time with my oldest son and keeping him on the right track while allowing him to make mistakes along the way.....
My husband and I are Paniolos (Hawai'ian for Cowboys) at heart. A vision of ours is to move up North to somewhere in Santa Barbara County or further North to Monterey/Salinas County, build a house/ranch compound near the ocean and raise Andalusian horses. Should this vision come to fruition, we would open the ranch and support non-profit organizations that assist in the rehabilitation and/or mentoring of children with mental and physical challenges.
I've got a thing for COWBOYS and FIREMEN. A Cowboy in a Fireman's Helmet? or A Fireman in a Cowboy's Hat? Hmmmmmm Either one works for me!
Yes, I've made an exception...
a beautiful Greek God named Tasos.
His heart and soul are the purest I have ever known.
Mahalo, Taso for being a part of my life.
I will always be with you in spirit.
I love walking in the rain (a light rain, not a downpour) ~ watching lightning light up the night sky during a rain storm ~ making the kids S'mores over a firepit ~ sitting in front of a crackling fireplace on a cold night and enjoying a cup of Hot Vanilla Mocha ~ watching the sunrise while travelling through the Mohave Desert ~ enjoying our beautiful California sunsets while sitting on the cliffs above Lunada Bay ~ watching the fog roll inland over the ocean ~ sitting quietly on the beach listening to the ocean as the waves break on the sand ~ sipping on a tall glass of iced green tea on a hot summer day...

You can catch us attending various sporting events and most of the Hawai'ian/Pacific Asian Islander events/concerts/restaurants in the local area. Most of our down-time is spent together as a family unit just relaxing at home with friends and family. Several weekend excursions/escapes are spent off-roading down South at Glen Helen or riding at the compound in Temecula ~ or up North near Castaic and Gorman ~ attending motocross events ~ (especially Supercross and the X-Games) ~ cruising up the coast to Monterey (Laguna Seca) and attending seasonal racing events ~ watching PBR (Professional Bull Riders) compete live ~ surfing at The Jetties, Rat Beach, Lunada Bay, Malaga Cove or down in OC (Huntington Beach, Newport Beach) and even all the way past Dana Point in San Diego ~ riding horses ~ just being together at home playing with Kuma Ali'i (our Shepherd/Rottwieler mix) is best of all.
Our beloved dog, Cloud Hunter (Chow/Wolf mix) passed away the morning of October 16th. Her spirit is with us. We love her and miss her presence. As Tasos (Black Ocean) said, "I'll see you in the sky".

Heroes:

There are so many definitions of a Hero these days; where do we begin?
I come from a Military Family. I may not agree with war, but I do Support Our Troops. There are many men and women in my life that are my heroes: my Father, my Brother, my disabled Sister and her disabled Husband (together they make one whole), my Husband, my Eldest Nephew and my Eldest Son ~ have overcome many obstacles and endeavors in their lives and have met each one with patience and perseverance for the good of our country, our families, and our friends.
I believe that ANYONE that has overcome a personal loss in their life is a HERO. When they've exhausted every option and have no other alternative, they were able to pull themselves back up by their bootstraps and go on.... Hence the saying: COWBOY UP. Meaning: Get on up, dust yourself off and keep going.
Doing the right thing is not always easy. The easy way out is never the best thing to do. Every action has a reaction and how you view the world with either the glass being half-full (The Optimist), or the glass being half-empty (The Pessimist) has a lot to do with your personal integrity and self-worth.
Heroes view the world with the glass half-full, as we all should ~ Never let go of what you believe in
