One of the most documented paranormal mysteries of all time is the legend of the so-called "Bell Witch," a sinister entity that terrorized the Red River settlement in Robertson County, Tennessee during the early 1800s. The entity tortured an entire family, ridiculed clergymen and politicians, spoke in reverse speech on occasion, and is even believed to have killed a man. Even President Andrew Jackson himself is said to have encountered the entity.
Depsite countless investigations and possible theories, the mystery remains unsolved to this day, nearly 200 years later.
The purpose of this page is to promote and discuss the legend of the Bell Witch and the work of noted author and researcher, Pat Fitzhugh.
