About Me

“For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin – real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life."
- Fr. Alfred D'Souza
It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters in the end.
- Ursula K. LeGuin
"What you do in your working hours determines what you have. What you do in your play hours determines who you are."
- George Eastman
-------------
Alright. Let's do this thing.
Who am I?
Well, I am a creative, first and foremost. I am a consultant/marketer/writer/editor/producer/director/DJ/ballo on animal artist. Really, I love anything that allows me to tap into my creative side.
I aspire to make continue making a living being creative.
Although less so these days, I am also a DJ, and have been for a large part of my life. It's a great release for me. There's nothing quite like getting a crowd moving, the commonality of emotion and passion and energy that's created in that shared moment. It's truly an awesome feeling.
As far as free time...I love movies and music. I tend to quote lines from movies and song lyrics WAY too much...I'm sure that it drives people nuts. I can't help it...it's how my mind works...it's me. And it's true...I am a DVD junkie, but as far as habits go...it could be MUCH worse. I like doing new things, and finding good relaxation time.
As far as flawslets see. Because Im creative, I can be sensitive...sometimes too much so. And I am VERY picky. It's a huge asset, in a way...but it's also my biggest flaw. In women, in food...EVERYTHING! I'm working on this one! Oh, and I'm sarcastic...so...yeah.
There is a great quote from Marianne Williamson that Nelson Mandela used once in a speech..."Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us." This resonates deeply with me, and I am determined not to be afraid of my light.
That's it for the now. If you're truly bored, check out the blogs for more.

My Interests

..

Movies, music, writing, truth, love, and italian food....but not in that order.

I'd like to meet:

Well, of course I always welcome new friends. I know that true friends are few and far between, but I also know that it’s impossible to guess where you might discover them.

And I am open to networking and cultivating business relationships as well.

And also, I think sometime soon I’d like to meet someone special. I harbor no fantasies that MySpace is the best place to do this, but why close the door to any possibility.

That person would challenge me spiritually, intellectually, and physically. They would know who they are, and not be afraid of it, or apologize for it.

I don’t believe that life is a race. And I don’t believe that "things" make us happy, and I need someone who is content with what they have…not someone who is constantly looking for the bigger, better deal.

I'd like someone who is decisive and smart and clever, but also kind and nurturing…who keeps me on my toes with their wit and sarcasm, and then disarms me with their warmth and passion.

And I want someone who is deeply truthful…because to me, truth is the most important thing of all.

I want someone who brings the best out in everyone they touch.

Of course, I want the perfect person. And I don’t believe perfect exists. Basically, I want someone who loves animals and children and God. Who is considerate of others. And who is appreciative of the little things…the sanctity of the little things…a touch, a gesture, and time together. Because really, when everything else dissolves away, the little things are all we have.

Of course, until I find that person that knocks me on my ass, I'm just going to keep having fun. ;)

Moments

Life comes down to a series of moments...little junctions where decisions are made...and in these subtle, seemingly inocuous moments, paths are decided, lives are altered, and futures are shaped.
