I love a good dinner out monthly for Japanese or something new & different, if I can afford it...it's literally been about 2 years since I went anywhere "nice" for dinner. :( Cooking much more these days!
I'm still very interested in ideas to help others, even with little money and more caring. I'm working on a Site, but currently have a broken thumb.
~Peace~

People who are passionate about what they feel their cause/s are in life & have the conviction to follow through with love and bravery to give and make the world [spiritual, physically, environmentally, etc.] better than now. P.S. Don't buy Redwood & used recycled or reclaimed wood...see Carter O. or "Green" Building initiatives.
Famous-R H Chili Peppers & KORN!!! They rock, yet have "evolved" their music due to learning the importance of true values...family, life, appreciating it & realizing there is a time in our lives for anarchy & a time of LOVE. They get it & don't "have to ask".
I'd really like to talk at length with John Frusciante for many many reasons. I met him a few times, but that was when we were both about 19-22. I know he's one of those souls who actually philosophizes & is accepting of change, hard as it can be at times.
I would also like to meet people of bravery [willing to risk], compassion and intellect to network with.
Famous-Past-Leonardo Da Vinci, Jesus and Mary, Thomas Jefferson, Beethoven, James J. Braddock [real Cinderella Man], Homer [to ask him how old the song of Troy was to determine accuracy, etal], Mozart, Jimi Hendrix, Florence Nightingale, Einstein, Cleopatra, Ramses II, Akenaten [Amenhotep] & wife Queen Nefertiti and many more. Basically original thinkers, genius, political and religious leaders, as well as those who gave of themselves to serve others.
Also, I'd really like to meet the politicians of "OUR FREE United States" & see if any really have a clue.
~I am on MySpace for a few simple reasons: 1-I want to connect with old friends. 2-I want to meet new positive, uplifting, open-minded, interesting, intelligent, fun people with integrity. 3-I want to meet people who actually want to get together & have BBQs, play games, go hot tubbing, watch movies or TV, etc. Not just people who always say they’re too busy! I say, fit the fun & friendship in dammit! I want to have intellectual, spiritual, political, philosophical and goofy conversations on this journey.
~I AM LOOKING FOR OLD & NEW FRIENDS. I have 2 older picts u[p for College friends to recognize & a few from the past few years, the rest are all recent.
If you are interested in DATING, then I say, let’s start as friends and see if there’s something there. I have been married or in committed serious relationships for the past 12 years straight, with a slight break a year or so after my daughter was born. I’m not sure I even remember HOW to date. Pretty sure it’s like friends, but you set up times to meet & there are usually flowers, gifts, kisses & romance going on, which sounds cool to me! It really needs to be the right person though: intelligent, interesting, traveled & still wants to more-as much as possible, a good conversationalist & a good listener. Great looking is always a bonus. I like soft lips, smooth skin, deep intense eyes, groomed eyebrows [for the love of God!] and from there, I tend to like a slightly taller athletic or normal.
My fatal flaw is honesty, so I will tell you the truth as tactfully as I can. My brain just never says, “lie†or “make something up, quickâ€â€¦and I’m starting to realize there are a LOT of people who do think that way & some are so good at it, or have been doing it so long, I think they start to believe their own lies and they become truths to them. Plus, I usually know what I am feeling & thinking, so will blurt things out without realizing ALL people's brains don't function like mine with rapid fire response! Sometimes I'd love to take back HOW I've said something, but overall, I TRY to communicate well & am TRYING to be more patient with listening to those who are slower to think & respond [there's that patience lesson again!].
I DO NOT WANT ANY ALCOHOLICS OR DRUG ADDICTS IN MY LIFE! If you are a social drinker, that’s fine. Depending on your definition of Social Drinker. IF YOU DRINK DAILY OR EVEN 4 TIMES A WEEK…I would say you are in denial about being a “Social Drinker: & need to hit up Betty Ford, or D.G. depending on your financial status!] I guess I have to make an exception for my gorgeous nephew, though if he's still partying hard in 5 years or so...I'm coming to kick your butt, dear!] If you are an alcoholic or addict & not in college or want to be friends or date, there's probably not a good enough reason for me to deal...good luck to you though truly...I've lost too many friends that went down that road & couldn't pull themselves back out.
~For my FEMALE friends & male friends who don’t want to date, I’m pretty open to most people. I tend to think something is amiss with somebody who don’t like animals, children or nature. I have cats, and my Shiba Inu is still in the family & my 11 year old baby love… SHE is the most important person to me!
I truly enjoy an intellectual historical, political, philosophical or otherwise “different†conversation...or even idiotic observations that make you laugh till your stomach hurts! Those are the best...though painful.
Mutually bitching about life is ok for a short time...but let's problem solve & get to a higher plain! I like to discuss movies after watching them, and the same with books. Seeing what other people SAW or INTERPRETED or LIKED or HATED give me insight into their brain workings. Plus, brainstorming with others can really open ones eyes to different ideas! I love art & museums. Discussion after. I also like to be goofy & silly & laugh & all the good stuff in the world!
~"Background & Lifestyle" it's too black & white! I don't drink, but I may try a good beer or "party" with close friends. It's not my scene though. I've moved forward with my life & my daughter's in a positive way. My height is 5'6" & my weight fluctuates since I have had M.S.& lymphidemia. I figure if I can still shop at a "normal sized" store [6s-16s], I'm ok with it. Life is too short to dwell on body image issues, especially when any thing can happen to any part of your physical & other parts of yourself in a second! I am proportioned well, put on water weight on certain meds [Steroids & other M.S. Rxs...bleck...but part of life, still trying to get money to afford my prefered natural methods of healing]...if you care that much-look at my picts, ask or don't write to me. I rarely wear make-up, unless going out or feel like enhancing my ivory "butt ass cracker white" skin. Check out picts to see me...they're all dated so you can tell what I look like now.
****I want people I can enjoy & talk with when we're old, saggy & all the other good stuff that comes with growing old & wise! A lot grow older & gain no personal insight or improve themselves. I've no time for assholes & catty bitches. I have some amazing friends who I consider like family, of all orientations, religions, pasts & have a great time with all types of people! I’d always like to have more, especially since I just moved & am not close to my old ones anymore. Friends who are moms are cool, and so are single girlfriends to hang with. I need some major “Girl’s Nights Out!â€, fun conversation, and GOOD people to hang with.WOMEN-Please, STOP hating on each other. There are not enough true good men anymore to fight over. Live your life as a strong, wonderful woman & be appreciative when you do find one of the few men left that know themselves & appreciate the true essence of love & creation.
I like all GOOD music in most genres. I'm going to do a blog to be able to express what music has meant in my life & shorten this one.
HARDCORE & "MIDCORE":
NIN
Marilyn Manson
Rage & Alice in Chains-though both are no more...
KORN

Audioslave [IMO, Chris Cornell has the best Rock voice since Freddie Mercury and Steven Tyler].
Red Hot Chili Peppers
U2
I listen to Beethoven & Bach every night now...just as when I was pregnant and my baby girl was young. I KNOW what you hear, see and fill your mind with DOES influence you, at the minimum in dreams and at maximum in daily life with aggression, release of aggression, beauty or peace. I'm aiming more for peace these days though some days...everybody NEEDS release!
I used to work in the music biz in Santa Barbara & L.A. in the early 90's when Alternative, Grunge & Funk ruled, so I still love hearing a classic Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Faith No More, Nirvana or my funky monks RHCP. I still can't listen to Nirvana without crying. I worked as a bartender/cocktail waitress at the time I heard he died. My pet rat I'd had about 4 years who would hide in my hair & play pool with me was hemeraging from the nose the same time. I HAD to go home & mourn the loss of a talent & my animal buddy. Sad sad day!
I like punk influences like the Ramones, the Dickies & X.
Tom Waits is a depressing alcoholic blues singer, but I love him...odd man.
Not to boast, seriously, they were/are just people after all...I hung out with most of the bands from the early 90s "alternative" [punk, funk, metal, rock & rap mixed together] & rock scene or met them. It was a ragingly wild time! If you are 28-late 30s, you remember the days! I have seen so many bands I can't remember them all, been in many a mosh pit, yet also fallen asleep at a Bach Recital. I would like to meet back up with some of the people I enjoyed hanging with then to see how they have evolved...or not.
I do like mellow music too. There are great old songs I forgot existed that will come up time to time. I like some good Old Blues, and music with Passion.
I do not like MOST "Classic Rock" [70-early80s] unless it's Aerosmith, Zepellin, Hendrix, The Doors, the Beetles [later stuff better], the Stones or Queen. Some songs truly are classics though that I excluded.
I usually like "Action/Thrillers", GOOD "Vampire Flicks", "Sci Fi/Comics" [Frank Miller Rules! Been a Fan for about 15 years!], or "Historical Epics" & ANY movie that makes me FEEL something or remind me of what IS important in like...just no 3+ hour depressing or self indulgent movies. Not usually a "chic flick" person unless they're funny. I guess I need some more adrenaline rushing through my system, though most are pretty dull & unintentionally humorous!
300-Frank Miller! What unique style too. Love watching over & over. Not bad that they show off their fighting bods too. Gerard Butler, etal....yummy.
Braveheart-TRULY AMAZING
Desperado-LOVE THE STYLE BABY
Snatch-I never thought violence could be so damned funny...other than Pulp Fiction of course. Brad's accent ruled, y cocneed beestard.
Tristan and Isolde
Dogma-Funny as hell-Kevin Smith's best IMO
The Shawshank Redemption-SO SO GREAT!
Crash
The Lord of the Rings-all 10 odd hours
The Quick and the Dead
Four Rooms [1, 3 & 4]-Tarantino, Banderas, Rodriquez & Crew
Fight Club
The Long Kiss Goodnight
Mr & Mrs. Smith-Great visual choreography & after seeing the chemistry...Brad made the right choice
12 Monkeys-Great Sci Fi Flick-Bruce Willis & Pitt
Oceans 11, 12 & 13
Immortal Beloved!!!-Gary Oldman is a favorite actor of mine.
The Libertine-Not sure why such a destructive movie caught me, but it enthralled me with Depp's language, I think.
American History X-Intense, Sad, Truthful, Eye Opener
Indiana Jones-If you didn't like this movie, there's something wrong...what a ride & humorous.
The Italian Job-a fun caper akin to Oceans Movies
Flightplan-Jodie Foster Freekin Rocks!
The Crow-R.I.P. Brandon, you were amazing!
Pirates of the Carribean [ALL]-Depp...nough Said
The Day After Tomorrow-Must See for all ages over 8
The Matrix-Still love it though 3 ended oddly
Sin City-Love the STYLE again
Aliens [All] Sigourney & Ridley Scott Rule
Silence of the Lambs-Purity & Courage vs. Genius & True Evil [Not necessarily Hannibal either]
T-1 & T-2
True Romance-Slater when great, P.Arquette...great cameos
The Princess Bride [I tell my daughter it's for her ;)],
Bruce Almighty-always makes me laugh!
Ace Ventura [the second one is best
Mean Girls & Freaky Friday-other good laughs with my daughter
Some classics of the 70s & 80s: Jaws, Star Wars [4-6] & Blade Runner
Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead [Witty Humor if you know Shakespeare well]
History of the World Part 1 [A great "Older" (70s I think) Mel Brooks flick,if you like puns & goofy humor] & many many many more!!!!
I love some Vampire Flicks: Interview with the Vampire, Queen of the Damned, Underworld & Blade (3 was good w/Ryan Reynolds), Bram Stoker's Dracula...The Goth side of me coming out!
My comedic side loves Chris Rock, Dave Chapelle & the movie DOGMA makes me laugh every time I see it.
MY KIND OF CHIC FLICKS:
Bruce Almighty, High Fidelity & 50 first Dates are my kind of a Sappy movie. I can't believe I'm admitting this to the world, but The Lake House choked me up big time! So few true loves & even fewer with patience!
I like comedies that make me laugh & aren't all toilet humor. Owen Wilson, with Jackie Chan, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, etc...he makes a good "buddy".
As for Horror I am WATCHING all I can lately for some odd reason. I guess it's the adrenaline factor again.
All Recorded...no time for live TV! Dislike reality shows bc they are so scripted, though Treasure Hunters caught my eye..must be that history/mystery thing! so they probably canceled it!!! The International History Channel & Sci Fi are a must.My favorites are:
Battlestar Galactica
My Name is Earl [thus the My Name is P-Earl reference!]
24
Reaper [LOVE IT!]
Smallville
Lost
Grey's Anatomy
Ghost Hunters
Bones
Numbers
Scrubs
Medium
Comedy Central Stand up
Criss Angel-MindFreak-I think I know most of the illusions though...
HGTV's Design on a Dime! Come see my place, baby!
Moonlight-Though not overly original, I need my vampire shows & like this one so far!
Ghost Whisperer~I want a relationship like her & Jim's ;same with the one on Medium..so loving, goofy, forgiving, understanding & sweet!
Another, brutally honest "geeky" thing to admit, I record Buffy, Angel & Charmed. ;) I know...I know!
I like good "Comedies though there aren't that many that actually make me laugh! Chris Rock & Dave Chapelle are some funny mfers & yes I am the crackerest of crackers! I like political satires too, thank you Jon Stuart. I dislike shows where the main intent is to irritate someone or to get a rise from them. There's enough irritation in daily life!
I majored in English at the University of California...[from Anthropology to History to Art & Art History to English] so I've literally read thousands & thousands of books.
The first written book, Gilgamesh, shows how amazingly little humans have evolved since story telling began. Then in the Dark Ages, Boethius reminds us "Lady Fortuna" turns the wheel for all. Shakespeare WAS & IS eternally wise.
I have many favorites, but I rarely have time anymore, but like Anne Rice's books [The Vampire Lestat & Armand are still my favorites, some phrases have been way overused though] & the Da Vinci Code was good too, though not very richly written, a fun fast paced novel-Tom Hanks for the movie though????
The Mists of Avalon. I guess mystery, or Witches & Vampires with over-ripe sensuality do it for me. ;)
I'm very open to suggestions for a good book, though I have to read it all in one night, as there just doesn't seem to be time otherwise!
My daughter, my grandparents, my aunt & sis' family...my friends, especially Jeanne, Andra, Maria & more! Of Presidents & politicians that are alive, I admire Jimmy Carter for doing more after his term & creating Habitat as well as promoting peace. Al Gore chose the visual Hollywood method to get out the seriousness of global warming...whatever works! I admire: firefighters, good cops [many are!], people who have a conscience & USE it! Truly caring, good people who live life responsibly but with all their heart & daring! Those who give of themselves for others and those that REALLY KNOW what living is. Even a person who feels insignificant can be heroic or caring & make somebody else's day a bit brighter. Give, LOVE, Laugh, kiss, embrace, journey, ponder and...
