LOL, was born in France on the 29 th of november in 1958.
LOL is one of the most famous and popular guitar player in France.
He has inspired a whole generation of musicians with his guitarplaying.
In 1977, at the age of 19, he becomes successful playing in two
parisian cult bands named Bulldozer and Extraballe .
These two bands were going to have a great infuence on the
french post-punk – wave.
In 1990 he co -creates an original and french version of the
american cult TV show Saturday night live called LOL et le GROUPE on french channel
Canal +.
Canal + let LOL conduct and manage « musically » several TV shows
such as Les Nuls l’émission, Les nouveaux et Nulle Part Ailleurs from 1990 – 2002.
During his long career, LOL has accompanied an impressive
amount of
french and international stars such as Tom Jones, Gloria Gaynor, Barry
White, Ben Harper, Nina Hagen, Tony Joe White, Seal, Johnny Hallyday,
Véronique Sanson,
William Sheller, France Gall, Manu Dibango, Dick Rivers, Charlelie Couture, Alain
Chamfort, Régine, Yannick Noah, Vanessa Paradis…
LOL writes a lot of jingles for Television and Radio shows
as well as music for commercial spots.
