About Me

"I've lost you through the wires of a thousand Telephones," Ian Foster sings on his debut album, Through the Wires. Foster's songs are a story set to music; a tale of a modern world where finding meaning is paramount and where that meaning is for sale.
A finalist for the 2003 International Songwriting Competition, Foster has been performing live for years in his hometown of St. John's, NL, Canada. In 2004, he showcased at the Music Industry Awards and Conference in St. Johns, and continues to play at numerous venues and festivals around the island. Upon the release of his debut album in September 2006, Ian will be performing on stages across Canada in the coming year. His is the new voice for listeners needing politically and personally present songs.
With a band made up of world-class musicians, the music itself combines elements of blues, rock, pop, and indie styles to paint an eclectic backdrop for Foster's very human stories. Love, anger, passion, sadness, laughter--they all live in the melodies.
