Samantha 7 was founded by C.C. DeVille (Guitar / Lead Vocals) of Poison fame and Krys Baratto (Bass) who has worked with everyone from Thomas Dolby to Guns N' Roses. They were eventually joined by ex-Cynical Side Drummer Francis Ruiz.
They had quite incredibly put in their debut gig at the mammoth 'Woodstock '99' festival. Bassist Krys Baratto had been offered the gig whilst DeVille was back out on the road with a Poison reunion tour. The bassist flew out to catch the tail end of the Poison tour to inform the guitarist of the news, leaving the fledgling band just two days to rehearse for the gig.
Signed by A&R guru John Kalodner to Columbia Records The Stepmothers switched title to Samantha 7 due to a conflict over the original name. The album was engineered by Andrew Murdock of Godsmack fame. Great White's Ty Longley joined the band for live dates.
2004 saw C.C. DeVille back on the road with POISON, opening for for a KISS nationwide tour. That same year saw Baratto working with Modify in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Samantha 7 was no more after just one album.
This is just a Samantha 7 fan page, not run by any of the guys involved with the album. We just felt they need a page to get the word out on a great band.
