RED HÖT - Psalm 23:4

There's two kinds of people in this world... those who like me, and those who can go to hell! ;-)

About Me

Daniel In The Lion’s Den
The above, is a painting of Daniel in the Lion’s Den. It’s from a story in The Bible of a man, Daniel, who was set up by some men after he was chosen by the king to be his replacement. For Daniel’s punishment which he did not deserve, he was sentenced to spend the night in the lion’s den. Even with certain death all around him, Daniel’s faith in God was very strong, and he believed that God would spare him and keep him safe. In this painting, you see Daniel looking at the sunlight shining through the window instead of the lions around him. This captures how in spite of everything, Daniel kept his focus on God, no matter what.
...I relate a lot to this story and painting right now...
The reason for Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ
“Nobody Knows What It’s Like To Be Lonely... Turn and face the pain... Turn and face the strange... Turn and face the music if you dare”
- Nobody Knows What It’s Like To Be Lonely, Mötley Crüe
My main passion lately is I just love playing the hekk outta my guitar!!! It’s so cathartic, it’s unbelievable. I don’t need pills, powder, or booze - the guitar is my drug. I used to be in bands and all that shizzle, til the 90s came and I just quit music completely for about 6 or 7 years. In an era where real talent was spit on while “grunge” was propogated as “the best thing since The Beatles and Rolling Stones” ((((Oh PLEASE!!! Put a bullet in my head now, I’ll even buy the gun!!!!!!!))), I just didn’t wanna be a part of it. Then, in around early 2001, the passion came back and here I am. So since then I’ve just been playing, writing, and recording solo instrumental stuff. I’m not a shredder - I don’t write for musicians or to impress them. I just try to create lots of different and cool moods and atmospheres in my music, from straight ahead riff rockin’ butt shakers, to deeper emotional slower pieces with lush keyboards and different textures. I’m even working on a pure techno / dance track (with cool guitars - hekk yeah!). It doesn’t always come out like I hear it in my big fat head, but rather than get in the way of it, I try to “connect” to it and let IT tell me where it should go or what should happen next. I just try to let it happen (((If you’re a friend and heard some of my mp3s, maybe you’ll know what I mean))). I have a few tracks now, and working on lots of others. I have too many ideas going at once, and all this on top of work! So combined with me being quite a procrastinator, it might take a little while but as soon as I finish a large amount of complete songs, I’ll try to put a CD out.
“It’s not easy puttin’ on a smile, when you’re alone, lost, and found”
- Merry Go Round, Mötley Crüe
Other than that I also workout at a gym. It’s a cool way to kill your frustrations and get healthy at the same time. It’s either that or going to a bar, getting loaded, punching someone in the face who looks at you the wrong way, and spending the night in jail with your new 225 lbs. “friend”, who is affectionately known around the cellblock as “Bubba”. I’d rather skydive without a parachute - it somehow makes more sense...
By the way, just so I make myself perfectly clear: Bus exhaust fumes make daddy dizzy! lol! What can I say? I heard this line in one of Letterman’s Top Ten Lists one night and I think it’s hilarious. Shoot me!

My Interests

I have so many interests that it would take a while to list them all. So I’ll just say... Playing guitar, creating and writing my own music ... Working out at the gym ... Learning about website design, graphics, computer related stuff, etc. (it is my job afterall) ... Of course going out with friends and partying, and meeting some of the finest examples of what a human being can really be (along with avoiding some of the worst examples!!!) ... I even like playing the odd video game (on Playstation 2, PC) ... and finding out THE TRUTH behind the lies, propaganda, black magick spells, and psychological operations that are fed to us by the media on a daily basis.

I'd like to meet:

YOU!!! ;-)

Seriously though... anyone and everyone who is cool!!! I like positive, good hearted, loyal people who can carry a conversation, and who are just as beautiful on the inside as the outside. Looking great will get you noticed, but it’s what’s inside you that will keep me around! I guess you can say the same goes for both girls and guys too (except for maybe the “outside” and “looking great” part for guys. I don’t mean it “that way” - I’m straight! :-D Sorry to disappoint... pretty much nobody. Moving on...) . Also, the more we have in common the better! Similar tastes in music, movies, politics, etc., is always a good thing so we have something to talk about, and do, etc. But I’m definitely mature and open enough to accept and even encourage your tastes that might be different than mine. If there’s one thing I realised in life, it’s that moaning and groaning about my favourite whatever is better than your favourite whatever, has about as much point to it as brushing your teeth before you eat garlic! So having your own interests are great. As long as we have some really important things in common, then it’s all good.

And because I wrote this one night when it was really late and I was tired, I’ll come back and make it sound better and more coherent at a later date. But all things considered, my name is RED HÖT and I approve this message.

Who I’d NOT Like To Meet:

Well ........ I can’t stand phonies, fakes, backstabbers, and just generally all around miserable people for even one second. They’re like energy vampires - they suck the positive and the life right outta you! ... Unfortunately, I guess I just eliminated pretty much 95% of the people on myspace, as well as probably the entire globe for that matter. But that's me! Yup... making friends everywhere I go! ;-)

“Sifting through all my so called friends, ain’t what I like to do... I chewed the bone, got criticised, and hid all the pain... Beneath it all I still face the same face”
- Black Promises, Vince Neil

I also don’t want anything to do with people who are into the occult, like Luciferians, Wiccans, Pagans, etc. - I don’t need nor want that element in my life, and that’s really all there is to that!

“Before I go down that road again, I need some time to think, some time to rearrange my memories... Before I go down that hole again... It was the best of times, it was the worst of times I ever had”
- Bury Me, Samantha 7

But I’ll add more to this stuff later........ after reading it all back, I don’t think this quite captures the essence that is me! But upon further contemplation, that might be because I actually have no essence. And here all this time I thought I was special... ;-)

I also love a lot of pop, early 80s new wave / new romantics, classical, jazz, funk, big bands, techno / electronica, and a teeny bit of rap like Run DMC and stuff. ..... I’ll add more later as I think of it, right now I’m drawing a blank on all the bands I like. I’ll have to make a list of some of my favourite pop bands soon.

Obviously, being a guitar player, I have some favourites I’m a huge fan of like...

• C.C. DeVille
• Edward Van Halen
• Steve Vai
• Steve Stevens
• and Andy Timmons

Huge Honourable Mentions go to: Mick Mars, Derek Frigo, Bill Leverty, Warren DeMartini, Reb Beach, and Vito Bratta.

And I’m also a huge fan of certain vocalists like...

• Vince Neil
• Mike Matijevic
• Michael Sweet
• Ted Poley
• and David Lee Roth

I’ll put up a more detalied list of stuff... eventually, lol! ;-)

Movies:

I'll put a little list up here soon...

Television:

I like a handful of shows...... Miami Vice, 24, Baywatch (What can I say, I love the beach! Seriously!), CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, Las Vegas (with James Caan, Nikki Cox), TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS hockey games, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Trailor Park Boys, Alias, The Sopranos, V.I.P., Knight Rider, Airwolf, The A-Team, MacGyver, The Simpsons, The Benny Hill Show. That’s all I can think of now.......

But too much tv is dangerous. Studies have shown it may cause blindness, severe twitching, sore butt syndrome (that symptom exists, no joke! You get it from spending way too much time sitting on your, well... butt!) and other bodily irregularities! Seriously! True story, the end. ...Okay, let’s say all that isn’t true - do you REALLY wanna take the chance? Huh??? Do ya, cupcake??? ;-)

Books:

The Holy Bible

Pig Farm by George Orwell

1984 by George Orwell

Heroes:

Jesus Christ, my Dad, and anyone who got knocked down really hard, and somehow fought their way back up again - that could very well be YOU!

“The Spaceman” from A View From Space - For having the courage to say what needs to be said, and trying to wake people up to the truth. He taught me all about the illuminati, and lots of other related subjects; and has made me immune to their satanic endeavours, like psychological operations and the new world order.

Dr. Charles Stanley (In Touch Ministries) - For his great interpretation of the Word Of God, and for helping to give me some direction when I have felt lost... which is quite often.
