About Me

What Is H.H.A.A.D?
H.H.A.A.D is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to bringing attention and resources to the epidemic of drug abuse - both inside and outside of the entertainment community. We will launch this vision through a national drug abuse awareness campaign that galvanizes the most powerful elements and resources of the hip hop and entertainment community to create an intervention of hope.
Who Is Our Target?
H.H.A.A.D.'s primary focus is on children and youth, ages 8 to 18. Those who others may label "hard-to-reach." The beauty of hip hop is that it was created, perpetuated and is now celebrated by the hard-to-reach. H.H.A.A.D creates positive alternatives to drug abuse for both adults and children as well as linkages and resources that provide visions of hope. We send the message that the world is filled with reachable goals and "You are NOT forgotten." Our motto is: "My dreams are meant to be, but it's up to me!"
What We Do?
H.H.A.A.D creates powerful opportunities on both the national and local level and then uses them as teachable moments. We offer a comprehensive menu of interventions including: music; television programming and campaigns; concerts and other live performances; public appearances by major artists; culturally sensitive/grass-roots created educational and drug awareness CDs, videos and curricula, unique and powerful treatment and intervention resources, and much more.
What Is Our Mission?
Our mission is two-fold - Prevention and Intervention. We believe future adult problems can be avoided if time and caring are invested in our children today. Our mission towards prevention starts with investing in today's youth - to let them experience positive growth-promoting environments; to encourage them to set goals; and to launch them on a path of successful goal attainment.
Of equal importance is the need to remember those currently suffering from drug addiction. It is not enough to recognize the problem. H.H.A.A.D. has been created to send the most powerful message possible - Hope and help is here!.
Where other interventions leave off, that's where H.H.A.A.D is just getting STARTED!" border=0
